Venom 3 is on its way, and it won’t be long before we discover what will happen to Eddie Brock and our favorite out-of-this-world symbiote. Tom Hardy reprises his role in Venom’s third installment in the Marvel movie franchise. It promises to take Eddie and Venom into an action-packed adventure with a fantastic cast and plot. Its title, Venom: The Last Dance, suggests that this may be the last time we see them together or apart as they both face an extraterrestrial threat from Venom’s home. The Last Dance is due to be released on October 25th, just in time for Halloween.
Venom 3 Promises More Than Ever Before

The first installment of Venom came back in 2018 and was directed by Ruben Fleischer, starring Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, and Riz Ahmed. It presented Eddie as a failed reporter who accidentally was bonded to an alien entity. That entity (Venom) was one of several symbiotes who were taken to Earth. It doesn’t take long before Eddie wins over Venom, and the two work together to save Earth from Venom’s own kind.
Its sequel was released three years later and was directed by Andy Serkis. Tom returns to his former role, as does Michelle, but its cast was added to with Woody Harrelson, who is Carnage. Venom: Let There Be Carnage shows Eddie trying to reignite his career with an interview with serial killer Cletus Kasady. Things change drastically for them both when Cletus becomes a host of the symbiote Carnage, escapes prison, and sets out to eliminate Venom at all costs.
What We Know So Far
For the third feature, we have one trailer that shows Eddie and Venom having trouble from both their worlds. Things get horribly worse when elements from space and Earth combine against them.
With Venom 3, there is something to keep in mind. It isn’t part of the MCU but a Sony movie installment and not part of the multiverse. Keep in mind the post-credit scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home. It shows Eddie and Venom together but is part of the MCU. Whether this movie is part of the MCU or separate, it’s not really known yet.
The Cast
The Venom 3 cast has told us very little as of yet about their roles. Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock. Peggy Lu is back as the mindful and fun Mrs. Chen. Cristo Fernandez is the bartender back behind the bar, and Stephen Graham is Patrick Mulligan. However, actors Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Alanna Ubach, and Clark Backo have yet to reveal their characters or roles.
So far, we know that The Last Dance takes Eddie and Venom on their last ride together in this trilogy. They are on the run and are hunted by the worst Earth has to offer and something that has come across the stars for Venom. Toward the end, our world-protecting duo is forced to make a decision that gives the title Venom 3 The Last Dance its core meaning.
The Venom 3 trailer also shows that there will be a complete dialogue between the two, which we have seen and loved throughout the other movies. We will also see things that we haven’t seen before, such as Venom being part of a horse—a horse!
Tom has become one of the most loved characters in the MCU universe as he portrays and brings an entirely new meaning to having a split personality. Venom and he together have saved our world not just from other symbols but from Boredom. We can only hope more information and other trailers come out soon, before the end of October, so we can learn more about what fate awaits Venom and Eddie.
