When life gets busy, you need a pause button. But can you pause your life? No, you can’t because you have commitments to fulfill. ย But everyone needs aย day where they should recharge themselves. It could be anything you love to do,ย from taking a walk to writing in a journal.

Self-care isย important for both physical and mental health. ย And it’s not only important for women. It’sย importantย for menย too.ย ย Self-care canย be doneย on any day of the weekย but Sunday sounds like a day where you could do something for yourselves as it’s a day off from work. So take a break from all the chores and follow these steps to enjoy a lazyย slow Sunday.

1) Write In A Journal

Start your day by writing in a journal. Journaling promotes mental well-being. Keeping track of your mental state is very important.ย In a journal,ย you can writeย allย about how you have felt throughout the week, why you were feeling overwhelmed, what triggered your anxiety, which food you didn’t likeย or whatย thingsย you are grateful for.

Now is the perfect time to try it.ย 

3) Extra 10 Minutes of Sleep

Getting an extra 10 minutes of sleep can help you have a more concentrated and focused mind,ย a healthy heart, and a healthy mental state. Not everyone needs 8 or 10 hours of sleep. Some can think and work perfectly fine after sleeping for 6 to 7 hoursย butย some of us needย ourย 10 hours of sleep and a cup of coffee to start our day. So I would never mind an extra 10ย minutesย or 30 minutes of sleep on a Sunday.

Sleeping is as important as eating for your body.ย It helps regulate the bodily functions properly. Withoutย adequate sleep, your body will start to shut down.ย Listen to your body!

DIY masks have made life so much easier for everyone. The internet is full of diy recipes. Do you want glowing skin? All you need is one teaspoon of turmeric and one teaspoon of honeyย andย you are good to go. Youย justย need to thinkย and the internet will find it for you. Apply the mask, andย relax in front of the TV while watching your favorite show.

The stores are full of face masks, hair masks, and foot masks. If you have time to go for a manicure or a pedicure, you should go out butย if notย thenย no worries. You can always buy those masks and get all the hyaluronic acid you want. Follow that 8-step skincare routineย andย don’t forget to add a lot ofย moisturizerย in the end.

5) Shopping

Shopping is every girl’s best friend. It makes you feelย happier. Aย study showed that shopping releases a dopamine hormone in our brain whichย makesย us feel good. Going out and spending some money on yourself is never a bad idea. You deserve that new dress, shoes, and bag. Matching earrings won’t hurt, either.

The shopping bags never feel heavyย andย always consider shopping your investment on yourselves. Buy something for your room or office space. Add an extra pair of heels to your closet!ย
