Yellowstone has been among the most popular modern Western TV shows for several years. Fans are waiting for the final episodes of season 5.
Throughout any television show, there are main characters that fans like more than others. In Yellowstone, those characters consist of John Dutton (Kevin Costner), Rip (Cole Hauser), Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton), Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), Monica (Kelsey Asbille), and Jimmy (Jefferson White).
But here is an actress who can portray a great character, one that people or fans can hate.
Do Fans Love Or Hate Beth Dutton?
Kelly Reilly plays Beth Dutton, the daughter of John Dutton, devoted sister, and wife of Rip. Fans of Yellowstone either love or hate Beth based on the role she plays.
When it comes to her family or relationship, Beth will do whatever it takes to defend those that she loves. In many cases, it results in some form of violence or revenge.
The people who become involved in the Dutton family business are trying to sabotage everything they have. Everyone knows that Beth despises her adopted brother Jamie. He was going up against his father John Dutton (Kevin Costner) well before Season 5 started.
Truth be told, if Beth could put an end to Jamie, then her mission would be complete. She is always threatening him throughout the popular Western. Yes, she often drinks alcohol and that adds to her violent demeanor. This keeps the show engaging. Beth is a wild character, quite different from the others.
As for her marriage, fans all remember her wedding at the end of Season 4. Beth and Rip are a good fit for one another. Rip will do anything for her and John. Beth appreciates what he does, but may never acknowledge it with her independent nature. It’s not very often that she says “thank you” as she is always busy protecting her family.
Beth will look to solve any problems or interactions on her own. She looks to keep her father out of harm’s way with the issues the Dutton family faces. Both sides of her personality can be loved or hated because most women do not take on tasks that Beth Dutton does.
Who Will Return For Season 5 Of ‘Yellowstone’?
Yellowstone is set to return to the Paramount Network in the fall. Season 5, Part 2 will have six episodes cast by most of the recurring actors. But there is an exception in Costner. He is filming his new movie Horizon: The American Saga, in which Part One will hit the box office on June 28th.
Costner’s future on Yellowstone is uncertain at this time. This covers Season 5’s last half. Fans want to find out if the Dutton family patriarch will be back in November 2024.
A Spinoff Is In The Works
Director and producer Taylor Sheridan has been hinting at a spinoff after the show ends in 2025. It is still unclear as to whether or not anything will happen. Cole Hauser, in an interview with Country Living, talked about the possibility of a new show titled 2024.
Hauser said, “Some stuff on the horizon … I’m excited to see where he goes creatively with that.” More news could surface ahead of Yellowstone‘s final six episodes. Who knows? We could see the loved or hated Kelly Reilly back in the near future.
