Sunday night in North Carolina, NASCAR engines weren’t the only thing taking a beating. You may be wondering what the heck that could be about. Well, during the All-Star race, Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. got into a fight that even involved their crews. A few punches were even thrown between the two. Continue on to find out why.

The fight started when Kyle Busch bumped into Ricky Stenhouse’s Camaro ZL1, which caused him to slam into a perimeter wall. Ricky, who had just completed two laps around the North Wilkesboro Speedway, was now out of the race. Ricky wanted to get a word in, so he parked in Kyle’s pitbox and climbed over the wall to get to his crew.
There is no exit tunnel at this particular speedway, so Stenhouse had to sit and wait for the race to be fully over in order to have a chat with Busch. This is when stuff started to get really heated.

Kyle Busch Seeing Stars Or Fireworks?
After the race, fireworks took place. This is when someone was recording the two men talking in the garage. The talk escalated when Stenhouse threw a right hook right at Kyle Busch’s face. The conversation prior to the punch went a little something like this.
Kyle Busch mentioned, “We all hit each other.” Ricky Stenhouse Jr. . replied, “You hit the fence, and then you hit me.” Busch answered, “I don’t believe you.” Stenhouse mentioned one last thing before swinging: “Go back and watch it.”
Following these comments, the men’s crews got involved. They were also throwing punches at each other. NASCAR shared a video of Kyle Busch throwing a punch at a crew member who tried to break up the fight.
Stenhouse Comments On Altercation
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. said, “You know, I feel like Kyle and I have always raced each other really hard. … Then, I wrecked him once at Daytona, and he’s kind of been bad-mouthing me ever since then.
“I feel like we get along with each other OK outside the racetrack. I talk to him quite a bit. I’m not sure why he was so mad that I shoved it three wide. But he hit the fence and kind of came off the wall and ran into me. I don’t know — when I was talking to him, he kept saying that I wrecked him,”
“But I know he’s frustrated, because he doesn’t run near as good as he used to, and I understand that.” He then went on to add that being stuck on the track wasn’t helping his frustration. “If there was a tunnel, I’d have probably been home watching the end of that. But here we are,” Stenhouse mentioned.
As far as stats go, Busch finished 10th in the race, and unfortunately, Stenhouse placed last.
