Another reality series is in the works! Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria announced on Tuesday, June 4th, that TLC is adapting a reality series based on their lives. The show will reportedly focus on their marriage and day-to-day life with their seven children. For more on the Baldwins, read below!

It was recently announced that Baldwin, Hilaria, and their seven children will star in their own reality series for TLC. According to People, Baldwin and his wife made the announcement on Tuesday via a post on Instagram. The show will reportedly premiere sometime in 2025 and follow the couple as they raise their family. It includes their seven children, ranging in age from 19 months to 10 years old.
Baldwin also has a daughter from a previous marriage named Ireland, who is 28 years old. It is unknown if Ireland will also appear on her father’s new show.
After the announcement, TLC released a statement saying, “Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been making headlines since they were married nearly 12 years ago. In this TLC follow-doc series, Alec and Hilaria invite viewers into the home they share with their seven growing kids. For the first time, they’re opening up their family lives and bringing everyone in to join in the nonstop love, laughter, and drama.”
According to ABC News, the announcement of their series comes one month before Baldwin is set to go to trial and face manslaughter charges in the accidental death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. According to reports, if convicted, Baldwin could face up to 18 months in jail.
Hutchins was killed during an accidental shooting on the set of the movie Rust when a prop gun held by Baldwin went off and injured her and the film’s director. Several people were charged in connection with Hutchins’ death, including the film’s first assistant director, the film’s armorer, and Baldwin himself.
Who is Alec Baldwin?
Alec Baldwin is an American actor known for his roles in 30 Rock, Saturday Night Live, and the Boss Baby films. He is perhaps best known for his role as Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock, a performance for which he won two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and eight Screen Actors Guild Awards. Additionally, Baldwin also won an Emmy Award for his appearances on Saturday Night Live, where he played Donald Trump in several sketches.
Baldwin and his wife Hilaria got married in 2012. Their wedding marks Baldwin’s second marriage, the first being to Kim Basinger, with whom he has one daughter. Additionally, Baldwin and Hilaria have seven children together, making Baldwin a father of eight.
Alec Baldwin Controversies
In November 2023, reports circled that Alec and Hilaria Baldwin were shopping around the idea of a reality series based on their lives. However, I’m not sure who greenlit the show since Baldwin has been the center of several controversies over the years.
They included the notorious voicemail to his daughter that made headlines in 2007, where he called his then 11-year-old horrible names, and the accidental death of Hutchins on the set of Rust. Also, the plane incident where he began yelling at flight attendants after being asked to deboard. I guess in terms of a reality series, the more drama surrounding the disgraced actor, the better.
