Free Live Music | 2nd Annual Heart of Oklahoma Music Festival – This Weekend

Downtown Purcell, Oklahoma will come alive with music, food, and community spirit as the 2nd Annual Heart of Oklahoma Music Festival kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, September 27th. The event begins at 11:00 AM on the red bricks of Main Street and runs throughout the day, offering free admission and a full lineup of Oklahoma’s finest musical acts.

Live Music Lineup

Festivalgoers can expect a dynamic mix of Red Dirt, country, and Americana sounds from some of the region’s most beloved performers. The schedule includes:

11:00 AM – Brother Heywood

1:00 PM– Etowah Road

3:00 PM – Gary Gibson Band

5:00 PM – Red Dirt Rangers

7:00 PM – The Great Divide

Each performance will take place on Main Street, just steps from local shops and eateries. Full event details are available at the City of Purcell.

Visitors can enjoy a variety of food trucks and local vendors lining both sides of Main Street. From handcrafted goods to hometown eats, the Heart of Oklahoma Music Festival offers a full day of small-town charm and big flavor.

Festival t-shirts and apparel are available through District Designs, with all proceeds benefiting the Purcell High School Band. Attendees are encouraged to grab a shirt and support the next generation of musicians.

Getting to Purcell

Traveling to the Heart of Oklahoma Music Festival is easy and scenic. The Heartland Flyer offers direct Amtrak service from Oklahoma City and Dallas–Fort Worth, arriving just blocks from Main Street.

From Oklahoma City, the Heartland Flyer departs at 8:25 AM and arrives in Purcell around 9:00 AM—perfect timing for the start of the festival. From Fort Worth, the northbound train departs at 5:25 PM and arrives in Purcell later in the evening, ideal for catching the headliners and enjoying the night scene.

For those driving, Purcell is conveniently located off Interstate 35, making it an accessible day trip from across the region.
