Over the years, we as viewers have been beyond blessed with some amazing TV series. Live television has slowly become not as popular now that we have so many streaming platforms available. How about we just go back to the early 2000s when we all first started getting cable TV? Spotty signal? Go outside and move the antenna because we need to tell you about our top 5 shows that were just too good to cancel.
5. Keeping Up With the Kardashians

Number five on the list might stir up a little controversy if you’re not a fan of the Kardashian family. However, their TV series Keeping Up With the Kardashians has produced twenty seasons. Yes, you read that right, twenty!
The series started out in 2007 and we have seen the family go through a lot. From marriages to divorces, births, new businesses, and everything in between. It must just be, too good to cancel.

4. Breaking Bad
Next up Breaking Bad, shows like this have been canceled time and time again. Breaking Bad actually came pretty close to being canceled. Especially now that the world is a little bit more sensitive than before. Why would it be canceled? Well, because some folks can take TV a little too seriously and try to copy what they’re doing. If you’re catching my drift.
3. Family Guy
If you have seen an episode of this TV series you can probably gather why it could have gotten canceled. It’s provocative, it gets the people going! Family Guy has trumped KUWTK and is now at 21 seasons. The animated series still has reruns playing on select channels.
2. The Vampire Diaries
From 2009 to 2017, The Vampire Diaries released 8 seasons and 171 episodes. However, that is not where it ended! The show inspired two rather successful spin-offs, The Originals and Legacies. The two spin-offs have characters that overlap as well as timelines of events that run into each other. If you’re a Vampire Diaries fan, we highly suggest you check out these TV series.
1. Supernatural
This TV series may have spanned the longest because it was honestly, too good to cancel. From September of 2005 all the way to November of 2020 the show was aired on live television. Some shows you can hop from season to season, but the Supernatural timeline holds true all the way through the series with connecting episodes. Thank you, Jared and Jensen for 15 years of Supernatural.
Honorable Mention TV Series
Choosing 5 was a little bit difficult so we have to chime in with our honorable mentions. TV series and sitcoms, especially have been known as classics for ages. There is nothing better than climbing in bed with your heating pad, a pack of Chips A Hoy, and your comfort show. Hats off to these honorable mentions, Seinfeld, Friends, Cheers, and The Golden Girls.
