Top 3 Songs on the Billboard Hot 100: Week of 10/26

Billboard Hot 100, GloRilla

We’re mixing it up on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. While some things remain the same, we see the return of the short and sweet queen, Sabrina Carpenter in the Top 3. However, we all know how this works. When one song rises, another must fall. Post Malone and Morgan Wallen have shifted to number five with their country hit, “I Had Some Help” finally leaving the Billboard Top 3 spotlight this late October. Beyond this, Billie Eilish and Shaboozey continue to hold the Top 2 positions, but are they uncontested? Read on, because we’ve got the full scoop on this week’s Billboard Top 3.

Top Billboard 3: Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter‘s summer smash hit, “Espresso” has dominated radio air time for months since its release in April 2024. While it’s gone up and down on the charts, it always finds its way back into the Billboard Top 3. Carpenter’s full-length album, Short n’ Sweet features the track alongside two of her other songs that are riding the waves of the Billboard charts. “Taste”, the album’s opener, comes in at number 8 this week while “Please Please Please” is sitting just below at number 10.

While “Espresso” has been in the spotlight for quite some time, the song still hasn’t peaked above the number 3 position. Carpenter even received an award at the VMAs for the track being named Song of the Year 2024. Regardless, it has yet to be at the top of the Billboard chart. Maybe this is “Espresso”‘s comeback arch, though. The song is six months old now and still charting. It’s possible this little climb could lead to the top. If you’re a fan of Carpenter and want to see her live, she will be in Atlanta, GA, Orlando, FL, and Tampa, FL this week.

Top Billboard 2: Bird of a Feather by Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish‘s “Birds of a Feather” is rolling into its third week at number two on the charts, holding the position with grace. What can we say? The romantic 80s sound resonates with people. “Birds of a Feather” is a beautifully written song speculated to be about Eilish’s previous relationship with actor, Jesse Rutherford. While it wasn’t a single on her newest album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, it has surpassed the album’s single, “Lunch” by a long shot on the charts, which only peaked at number 5 back in June. Eilish also holds the number 27 spot on the Hot 100 this week with her song, “Wildflower” from the same album.

Unless “Espresso” makes a swift climb in the coming weeks, we can expect “Birds of a Feather” to stay in position as the Top 2 song. There is also a chance it could surpass Shaboozey’s “Bar Song (Tipsy)” with the rise in popularity the track has seen as of late. “Birds of a Feather” hasn’t just been a radio hit, it’s been a viral TikTok hit as well. The song makes a phenomenal soundtrack to nostalgic or romantic videos. If you’re on board with the trend and hope to catch one of her shows, Eilish will perform in early November in Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, and Cincinnati, OH.

Top Billboard 1: Bar Song (Tipsy) by Shaboozey

Congratulations to our boy, Shaboozey, on his 15th week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. His emulation of J-Kwon’s 2004 hip-hop track, “Tipsy“, aptly named, “Bar Song (Tipsy)”, has been dominating the charts despite its spring 2024 release. This relatively new artist found his highest point and doesn’t appear to be coming down. “Bar Song (Tipsy)”, is just too relatable for people to put down. It appeals to fans of the original and the new generation, bringing nostalgia and genre fusion to the forefront.

Overall, Shaboozey is a unique and talented artist who deserves to be number 1. His full-length album that features the song, Where I’ve Been Isn’t Where I’m Going, is clustered with country, hip-hop, and pop mixtures that keep people listening. It’s not surprising that this hit in particular has stuck with fans for 15 entire weeks now. However, we could see a shift in the tides as Bille Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter climb the charts. If you’re hoping to catch Shaboozey on tour, he is live in Charlottesville, VA at the end of this month, before heading to Charleston, WV, and Cincinnati, OH in November.

In Conclusion

It is simultaneously surprising and unsurprising to see Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” back in the Top 3 this week, but will it climb higher on the charts months after its release? It finally took Post Malone and Morgan Wallen out of the Top 3, so the chances are certainly there. Billie Eilish also stands a strong chance of sniping that number 1 spot from Shaboozey as her song, “Birds of a Feather” continues to rise in popularity. However, “Bar Song (Tipsy)” doesn’t appear to be lapsing in numbers currently and may remain the number 1 Billboard hit for several more weeks. Only time will tell, but we’ll keep you informed as the charts rise and fall.
