Toei Animation returns to the New York, New York Comic Con this year for a triple franchise celebration. Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Digimon will all get spotlighted this year. They will enjoy various celebrity guest panels and fan experiences for the occasion. The studio’s exhibit booth will feature two pop-up shops. Toei Animation X Dim Mak and Mugiwara Store will feature a collection of merchandise. Some big-name guests are also slated to speak at panels to discuss Toei Animation’s various series.

The panel will start with the Dragon Ball DAIMA Special Panel on Day One. To celebrate the 40th anniversary, Toei will share details of the creation of Dragon Ball DAIMA. Monica Rial, Bulma’s English dub voice, will be hosting the event. This will be followed immediately by a premiere viewing of the first episode of DAIMA. Later that day, Toei will present the Digimon Adventure Panel. Toei will welcome Digimon Luminary Hiromi Seki, a long-time associate of the Digimon brand. Most notably, she served as producer on Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 2. During this panel, led by Justin Rojas, Hiromi Seki will discuss Digimon and Digimon Adventure’s future.
On day 2 of the event, Toei will present their panel on One Piece. The panel will include producer Ryuta Koike, director Satoshi Ito, and creative director Masayuki Takagi. Jacki Jing and the team will discuss the series with several English dub voice actors.

The major figures attending and hosting these panels all held prominent positions in their respective franchises. For Dragon Ball, these include Monica Rial (Bulma Briefs) and several other unrevealed guests. Digimon’s primary guest is Hiromi Seki, the producer for several of the early Digimon Adventure shows. One Piece’s panel has the distinct privilege of being the one with the most confirmed guests.
The guest list for the panel includes Satoshi Ito and Masayuki Takagi, two of the series’ directors. What they will be talking about during the panels will vary from show to show. Undoubtedly, some reveals or teases of future plans will come up. We know that the Dragon Ball panel will be talking about the creation of DAIMA. The fact that several producers are there hints at some potential big reveals planned.
