The heroes in a half shell meet the most powerful man in the universe. He-Man and the TMNT will team up in a crossover of epic proportions. The two heroic forces of good have taken down vile fiends on their own. One can only imagine what will happen when they come together. Dark Horse’s new comic Turtles of Grayskull will show fans just that.
He-Man, Barbarian Hero of the Universe
When evil rears its vile head, Prince Adam raises the Power Sword. And upon calling out the words “By the power of Grayskull” becomes He-Man. Joined by Battle Cat and the Masters of the Universe, Eternia’s champion protects Castle Grayskull. He often clashes against his arch-nemesis, the fiendish Skeletor, and the Evil Warriors. Nevertheless, He-Man will never falter and allow darkness to conquer the universe.
First debuting as a toy in 1982, He-Man took the world by storm. Children were immediately captivated by him and the entire Masters of the Universe toyline. Accompanying each toy was a mini-comic detailing the characters’ original backstories. The beloved animated series debuted in 1983, giving the world the definitive He-Man. He-Man’s popularity even created a spin-off, She-Ra: Princess of Power. The series starred Prince Adam’s lost-long twin sister Adora, who becomes the titular character.
The TMNT, NYC’s Shell-Shocked Pizza Kings
When they emerge from the shadows, the good guys win, and the bad guys lose. The TMNT was born when four baby turtles came in contact with a strange ooze. They were given new human-like forms and gained the ability to speak. Master Splinter, their adopted rat father, soon trained them in the ways of ninjutsu. And when the likes of Shredder and Krang attack, the TMNT rises from the sewers. Helping them are their human friends, news reporter April O’Neil and vigilante Casey Jones.
Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the first Ninja Turtles comic debuted in 1984. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was supposed to be a one-off, but it became popular. It created a franchise filled with animated series, movies, video games, and toys. The TMNT eventually teamed up with fictional heroes like the Power Rangers and Naruto. They would even join forces with other incarnations of themselves. Now, they are ready for the team-up of a lifetime.
A Crossover Unlike Any Other
The events of Turtles of Grayskull begin when Krang and Shredder negotiate with Skeletor. They devise a plan to combine demon magic and Ultrom mutagen. The result is a revolting purple poison that could spell doom for Eternia. When the villainous pair travels to the other dimension, the Turtles follow to stop them. The reptilian ninjas meet the Masters of the Universe and agree to join forces. Turtles of Grayskull is available for pre-order and will be released everywhere on September 25th.
