Joshua Blackledge, a 16-year-old social media influencer with over a million TikTok followers, died at his home on March 18, according to an obituary that was shared by Noe-Brooks funeral home. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

According to the obituary, Joshua was a junior at West Carteret High School, in North Carolina, where he was involved in wrestling and track. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved being around water, whether fishing or boating with friends. He also had a love for cars and trucks.

Thousands upon thousands of fans of the teen headed over to his TikTok page and flooded his page with their condolences. “Rest in peace 💔 you’re gone too soon,” wrote one user. “I actually can’t believe he’s passed away like I’m in shock this is very sad,” another added.
Joshua had a girlfriend, Emmie Gillikin. Her social media platforms are private, but People magazine reports of a post she made, and she is quoted as saying, “Missing this sweet boy right now. Never would have thought I would be here without you. Josh showed me what love really was even though I’m very young. He never failed to put a smile on my face no matter how mad I was at him. Even after these past couple of days nothing seems real and I’m feeling all the emotions.”
In addition to sharing her disbelief that he’s gone, she added, “josh was so loved by everyone around him, he was a great friend, and most importantly the best boyfriend. we miss you so much Josh, watch over us and keep us safe.”
