Spoiler Alert: Thunderbolts* Post Credit Scenes Full Reveal

Thunderbolts

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s newest installment called Thunderbolts* opens in the US – and it’s a fresh take with some familiar characters. We’ll see Bucky Barnes, Alexei, and Yelena coming back to help each other fight dark forces. We’ll also see some more well-known faces, and we will definitely get our post-credit scene, plus a mid-credit scene. If you do not want to know any more about these spoilers, please stop reading here, otherwise here’s a little preview of MCU‘s beloved tradition.

Thunderbolts* Mid-Credit Scene

Don’t worry – nobody is going out for shawarma in this one; it’s a little bit more straightforward. Throughout the movie Alexei (Red Guardian) jokes how they should be on a Wheaties cereal box, much like athletes in the past. Alexei is in the store and he starts trying to coax an unassuming customer into buying the box of Wheaties. The cereal box appears to have a picture of the Thunderbolts* on it. It looks as though he doesn’t do the best job of convincing her, as she puts it down and sneaks away.

Thunderbolts* Post-Credit Scene Reveal

Now this particular scene is the one that will play into the next Avengers film. (Warning: this contains more spoilers.)

A little over a year later, the Thunderbolts* are in the Avengers Watchtower. They’re now referring to themselves as the “New Avengers.” Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) appears and says he has rights to that name. Ah – the joys of legal copyrights.

Suddenly there is alert and it shows that a spacecraft has entered through space onto Earth-616. There is a large “4” on the side of the spacecraft, thus indicating the Fantastic Four has arrived! So it looks like our group of trusty antiheroes, or the Thunderbolts* or the New Avengers (or the New Avengerz?) has their itinerary of where to go next.

To Wrap it Up

The Thunderbolts* post-credit scene sets it up for the new flick, Avengers: Doomsday. In production now, this next installment will be out in 2026. It promises to have a lot of our MCU favorites, plus the Fantastic Four in it. As with any MCU release, the Marvel producers really know how to grab our attention and build suspense with these post-credit scenes.
