What does it mean to be selfish? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of selfish is the lack of consideration for others; someone concerned chiefly with one’s own personal profit or pleasure. You know, people who will do for themselves before they will do for others. People who put their own priorities above everyone else. Do you know people who fit that definition? I am sure we all know at least one, I have known man over the years. Let’s learn what Signs are the most likely to be selfish.
What it Means to Be Selfish
When someone is selfish, they put their own needs ahead of those around them. They are the person who will step on their colleagues, ofter even friends, to get that promotion. It could even be as small an act as taking the last piece of pizza though everyone hasn’t been served or saying something that makes yourself look better even though you just hurt someone else’s feelings.
People will tend to avoid people who are very selfish if they can and being selfish is something that can be controlled if the person chooses to. Everyone, however, does not always choose to control or curb their own selfishness. Let’s see what five signs are the most selfish.
Scorpio
In 5th place is our intense Scorpio. Known for their intensity and passion, they can be very possessive and controlling, especially in their personal relationships. They can be vindictive, as well, as they are not forgiving towards those who cross them. Scorpio is reluctant to trust to start with and doing something to hurt that trust can end the relationship without hope of ever repairing it. However, once you have earned their trust, they are fiercely loyal and you couldn’t ask for a kinder or more protective friend.
For a Scorpio to lead a healthy social life, they need to find a healthy balance between pride and vulnerability. They have a lot to share but need to figure out how to keep their sight focused on others, not just themselves.
Leo
In fourth place winner as the most selfish is Leo. Leos, as they are often focused on getting what they want, can seem extremely selfish. They are full of energy and ambition and often direct it towards looking for ways to get ahead and get what they want.
Possessiveness is another Leo trait and they do not like to share their spotlight with others. Now, Leos are generous, loyal friends and will go out of their way for those they love. As the most popular zodiac sign, they are usually blessed with a lot of friends. Once they learn to balance ambition with compassion, they can be unstoppable.
Capricorn
Third on our list is Capricorn. Goal-driven, ambitious, and strong, Capricorn can sometimes get so hyper-focused on their own goals that they forget to remember how to show compassion and consideration for others.
Hardworking and disciplined, they can present as unbending and controlling on the path to getting what they want. Capricorns, by nature, have to stay true to themselves, however, if they remember to take a few moments to think about how their decisions affect other people, they can be amazing and helpful. With their tunnel vision and work ethic, they can achieve a lot – but they need to recall how to not do so at the expense of those around them.
Sagittarius
Number four on our list is Sagittarius. These friends are extremely energetic and enthusiastic, but often forget how their actions and words affect those around them. Independent, self-motivated, and creative, Sagittarians tend to march to their own drum regardless of what everyone else is doing.
They can be arrogant and even mean, but they can also be generous and supportive. Sagittarians are fun and tend to surround themself with exciting energetic friends, but for these friendships to last, the friends must learn to overlook the Sagittarian’s occasional selfishness. Sometimes someone just needs to remind them that they can reach their goals without stepping on those around them.
Aries
And here we are at our number one most selfish Zodiac Sign, Aries. Known as self-centered and not afraid to show it, Arians are always looking out for number one and can be extremely competitive in order to meet their goals They take what they want with no thought as to the consequences for themselves or others. Some of their more redeeming qualities include loyalty, determination, and courage – but their selfishness can, at times overshadow these more acceptable character traits. While Aries can make great leaders, they do not like to share the spotlight.

Again, selfishness can be controlled if you choose to control it. Are you one of these signs? I myself am a Scorpio and will admit that there are times when I find myself having to stop and think about what I am doing or saying. I know that there are times when I can be selfish and I work hard to not allow myself to move towards those behaviors. You can control it as well if you choose to do so.
