Want to see who’s back?
June Osborne – Elizabeth Moss
The Handmaid’s Tale heroine returns for the final season right where season five left off. We’re on that train with her baby just after Luke has been arrested, and she’s reluctantly reunited with Serena. Sparks fly whenever these two are together, and this season will bring all the drama we’re craving. No spoilers here, but don’t miss a minute of it because it’s everything.
Mrs. Serena Waterford – Yvonne Strahovski
Is she a villain, or is she misguided and well-meaning? Serena has us all over the place. We can sympathize with her, though, and that’s a testament to great writing and acting. What will become of her in this season? That’s hard to say, but from what we’ve seen so far, it’s going to be interesting!
Luke Bankole – O-T Fagbenle
The end of Handmaid’s Tale season five left Luke in a precarious position. He was just arrested for the death of a Canadian in defense of June. What’s next for him? Will June find him again, like he said she always does? How will his trial go? Such delicious suspense.
Moira Strand – Samira Wiley
No one could ask for a more dedicated friend than Moira. We’re glad to see her back and ready to stand up for what’s right. She’s a strong woman and deserves her own happy ending.
Nick Blaine – Max Minghella
Oh Nick! June’s other love interest is a complicated character indeed. Where does Nick stand in everything that’s happening in both Canada and Gilead? The end of season five had him in a tight spot with the formation of New Bethlehem and his agreement to help the resistance. He’s being tugged in two directions. Which will he choose?
Joseph Lawrence – Bradley Whitford and Naomi Putnam – Ever Carradine
Commander Lawrence is still at the center of everything in Gilead, and Naomi is now at his side as his wife. He’s a tricky character. It’s going to be interesting to find out what he gets in the end of The Handmaid’s Tale.
Janine Lindo – Madeline Brewer
What’s happened to our favorite handmaid? Other than June, of course. Janine is back for season six. Season five left her being rejected by Naomi and her fate unknown. Aunt Lydia isn’t going to like this.
Aunt Lydia – Ann Dowd
Is she a villain? Or is she just naive about what’s really happening? In any case, she’s been party to some pretty awful things done to handmaids. Will she see the light of truth?
Mark Tuello – Sam Jaeger
An American in Canada trying to negotiate aid for refugees from Gilead. In season five, we saw plans thwarted, and he’s left frustrated, and as the Canadians start to withdraw support, he’s in a precarious position for himself and the refugees.
Conclusion
We’re already watching and sitting on the edge of our seats, waiting for the next The Handmaid’s Tail Season 6 episode to drop. This one can’t be missed! We’re rooting for the resistance. We could use a win!
