The Boys season 4 episode 6 ‘Dirty Business’ is now streaming on Amazon Prime. As the name suggests, it truly lives up to its title. Now, before we dive in, first, spoiler alert. Second, I have to say this episode has created a controversy—people’s opinions are divided right down the middle. A lot of fans didn’t fancy it so much because they thought everyone acted like clowns, and they said it’s bothering them how similar it is to Episode 5. In this article, you’ll get a quick summary of The Boys season 4 episode 6 ‘Dirty Business’ episode.

In The Boys season 4 episode 6, titled ‘Dirty Business,’ Hughie gets into a tricky spot when he’s pushed into going to a fancy Federalist Society event at Tek Knight’s mansion. Posing as the Supe Webweaver, Hughie aims to interrogate Tek, but things go sideways when he’s led to the infamous ‘Tek Cave.’ It turns out this is not your average man cave, but a creepy BDSM dungeon!

As Hughie goes deeper into the tunnel, he loses signals and meets up with Tek’s right-hand mate, Ashley Barrett. He lands smack dab in the middle of a situation that screams ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ gone wrong. Thankfully, he is saved by Kimiko and Annie, who manage to sneak into the mansion and locate the secret entryway to the Tek Cave.

The episode doesn’t hold back and gets all into Tek Knight’s shady behavior. As Hughie wades through the chaos, we start to see just how much these heroes aren’t so heroic anymore. We’re shown a gap between who they want to be seen as and who they really are behind closed doors. It paints quite a grim portrayal of their dark behaviors just beneath the surface.

Butcher’s Moral Dilemma and the Catastrophic Virus

Billy Butcher and Joe Kessler are still keeping Vought scientist, Dr. Sameer Shah, hidden. They’re pushing him to create a virus so strong it can take down Homelander. While Butcher is sorting through his reasons and motivation for creating the virus, they find out something pretty crazy about what could happen if it is released.

Dr. Shah lets it slip that there’s a superbug out there so powerful that even Homelander couldn’t survive it. But here’s the catch: the virus could turn into something unstable and contagious that no one can handle. It wouldn’t discriminate either; every Supe on Earth would be in danger, which means Ryan too. This is causing quite a predicament for Butcher! He now has to choose between eradicating the Homelander problem or risking an entire race of Supes getting wiped out, including those who are on his side.

Discourse Grows With Shocking Developments

Also, the episode explores the crazy aftermath of the A-Train and Mother’s Milk situation. Plus, Kimiko is trying to find peace while Frenchie sits behind bars. The story bounces around all sorts of strange happenings, from Homelander’s slightly creepy interest in a certain type of milk to a rise in political tension brewing everywhere.

Conclusion

The Boys season 4, episode 6, ‘Dirty Business,’ really lives up to its name. It has everything we love about the series. It resembles episodes like ‘Herogasm’ with its tight storytelling without any unnecessary side trips. Season 4 has been traveling at a snail crawl, but this episode is different; it gets it just right. We got a chance to see each character in action. As we’re getting ready for the season finale, we’re hoping The Boys continue on like this episode. There’s still so much to resolve.
