You hear that? That’s the sound of Europe absolutely dominating the World Series of Warzone! That’s right, for the first time ever, a European squad has clawed their way to the top to become global champions. Give it up for Team Vision!
The powerhouse trio of ‘Lenun,’ ‘Echo,’ and the one and only Ethan ‘Fifakill’ Pink just showed the world how it’s done, bagging a whopping $300,000 of the $1 million prize pool. You could buy a lot of G Fuel with that kind of cash.
How Did Team Vision Secure the Bag?
It wasn’t exactly a walk in the park. Can you believe they started the Global Final in 29th place? Ouch. I would’ve been tilted into another dimension. But did they let that stop them? Heck no! They roared back in the second game, snagging second place with 16 eliminations and rocketing up the leaderboard. From there, it was a masterclass in consistency and pure, unadulterated skill.
Check out this comeback story:
- Games 4 & 5: They locked in solid 4th and 3rd place finishes, building some serious momentum.
- Game 6: A massive victory royale with 11 eliminations. They were cooking!
- Game 7: They hit the 125 Match Point threshold, which meant one thing: it was go-time.
- Game 8: With all three members alive in the final circle, they just wiped the floor with the remaining competition, ending with 13 eliminations and hoisting that glorious trophy. Absolute scenes!
And it wasn’t just Team Vision flying the flag for Europe. Gentle Mates and Team BDS rounded out the top three, making it a full-on European party on the podium. North America, you guys okay over there?
An End of an Era for a Warzone Legend
Amidst all the celebration, we also had a bittersweet moment. The legend himself, Andrew ‘Biffle’ Diaz of Team Falcons, announced his retirement from competitive Warzone. After a stellar five-year career, two World Series of Warzone titles, and an Esports World Cup victory, he’s hanging up the mouse and keyboard. We’re not crying, you’re crying! Thanks for all the insane plays, Biffle. The scene won’t be the same without you.
