Taylor Swift has dated some famous faces over the years, and while boyfriends come and go, it’s been a while since she’s had such a whirlwind romance like the one she’s currently wrapped up in with Travis Kelce. When Taylor was on her almost two-year Eras Tour, we constantly saw glimpses of the power couple. However, with the tour over and Travis free from football because of the off-season, we haven’t seen them nearly as much. This leads us to think: Is there trouble in paradise? Are Taylor and Travis over?
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce: Power Couple
The now-infamous whirlwind romance first began back in July 2023 when Travis attended one of Taylor’s Eras Tour shows when it stopped in Kansas City, where he plays for the Chiefs. According to Today, Travis tried to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but unfortunately, he failed to do so. That got Taylor’s attention, and the two started seeing each other privately until they made their public debut in September 2023 when Taylor attended one of Travis’s games.
From there on out, the two were inseparable, and they quickly became the couple we’ve come to know and love today: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the pop star and the football star. Taylor attended almost every Chiefs home game and was even in attendance when Travis and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs won the 2024 Super Bowl.
Trouble In Paradise?
With Taylor Swift’s tour and Travis Kelce off from football for the off-season, the couple hasn’t been seen out and about in quite some time. Considering we saw the two all the time while they were both working in their respective careers. Now that we’ve been seeing less and less of the couple, breakup rumors have been swirling around, leading us to wonder if they’re still actually together.
Everyone can breathe a collective sigh of relief as our favorite couple is still together — they’re just flying under the radar these days. They haven’t had a major public outing together since the Super Bowl in February.
According to US Weekly, the two have simply been keeping a low profile. They’ve been spending a lot of time together, vacationing in Park City, Utah, as well as Montana. They even had dinner in New York City a couple of times. A source told US Weekly that the two want to live a more “normal life” after their busy year. They said, “Taylor and Travis are doing great, and they’re still very much together and in love. They’re just taking a break from the public eye.”
Another source told US Weekly, “Travis wants to take [a breather] from the public eye. He was working too much last year, and he didn’t play as well as he wanted. He wants to have a good season and not have the focus be on his relationship with Taylor.”
Being the world’s biggest pop star and one of the best football players in the National Football League can definitely take a toll on anyone, let alone a high-profile relationship. Thankfully, Taylor and Travis are still happily together and in love; they’re just now choosing to do so behind closed doors.
