The new upcoming Suicide Squad Isekai is set to stream on Hulu and HBO Max on June 27 in the United States, while in Japan, fans will have to wait as it makes its broadcast debut on July 5th. After the three-episode premiere, it will air one episode weekly. Internationally, it will be available on HBO GO in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, Aniplus and Laftel in South Korea, and ADN in France.
The plot mentions a gate opening up in Gotham and Amanda Waller, the head of A.R.G.U.S, sending the infamous criminals to conquer an unforeseen land. The penalty for not finishing the job includes death, as failure for the Suicide Squad is not an option as we observe them in unfamiliar territory with a second shot at life.

From DC, they dropped their main trailer months ago for the new Suicide Squad Isekai anime that comes out later this June. The opening is called “Another World” by Tomoyasu Hotei, the legendary Japanese guitarist from the Kill Bill soundtrack. The ending theme, “Go-Getters,” was already heard in the latest trailer.
Hololive English’s Mori Calliope announced the new song two months ago in a Warner Bros Japan Anime video. She is a VTuber with an elaborate and diverse music catalog as a rapper and singer, collaborating with big Japanese producers like Giga-P and TeddyLoid for her upcoming album PHANTOMIME which drops in August.
It Will Release the First Three Episodes on June 27th
According to AnimeSchedule.Net, Suicide Squad Isekai will have 10 episodes for the Summer 2024 anime season and this action-adventure fantasy series will follow DC’s villains from the comics. While the English dub cast has not been announced, the Japanese voice actors/ actresses include some notable names from popular anime.
Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Anna Nagase (Riko Amanai) is Harley Quinn and Subaru Kimura (Aoi Todo) is King Shark, while the Joker is Yuuichirou Umehara (Goblin Slayer). Takehito Koyasu (Dio from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) is the character Peacemaker. Jun Fukuyama (King from Seven Deadly Sins) is Clayface while Chika Anzai (Chisato Nishikigi from Lycoris Recoil) is Katana.
Suicide Squad Isekai Offers a Unique Concept for Overdone Genre
This take is a refreshing fusion of a comic book adaptation that incorporates the “teleported to a new world” genre, which is very saturated but has an original twist in Suicide Squad Isekai. Warner Bros Japan gets a shot at using a concept that had mixed results like the Suicide Squad movies (2016 and 2021) into an anime done by a reputable studio like Wit Studio.
Their best hits include the first three seasons of Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, Ranking of Kings, and Vinland Saga. Other big series that hit the Isekai scene for Spring 2024 include season three of KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation with its part two for season two.
