The Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos is starting her journey to find love again in the first season of The Golden Bachelorette streaming on Disney+. She was married for 33 years to her husband John, and they had an incredible love story, but she wants to find love again. She was unsuccessful in love in the first season of The Golden Bachelor but she is resilient and on the hunt for love.
The Golden Bachelorette Joan
Vassos is a mother and grandmother first. She prides herself on putting her family first and always. Joan is the mother of four children, according to People. Even though she is very focused on her motherly and grandmotherly duties, she still wants to find time for romance too. It’s a brand-new Cinderella story for her. Episode one is streaming now on Disney+.
Joan first tried to find love in the first season of The Golden Bachelor but was unsuccessful. This no way ruins her chances of finding love now. Her presence is sweet, understanding, and warm. She is a very good listener, as it shows in her first encounters with the men who are looking to join her on her life journey.
The Golden Bachelorette Contestants
Meet the three main male contestants for the first season of The Golden Bachelorette. There’s Bill, a self-proclaimed romantic from Portland, Oregon. Then there’s Charles K., who is the “life of the party.” Charles L. is also seeking his second chance and finding true love since his wife passed away.
There are 24 men in total, and just going off first impressions from episode one, you can tell they are mature and sincere. But let’s not make assumptions, even if first impressions are good so far. Contestant Jack, who is a caterer from Chicago, Illinois, is on his game to win over Joan. He sings to the meal he prepares and cooks for the first-ever Golden Bachelorette.
The best part of this new season is showing as many sentimental moments as possible. At the beginning of the show, you get to see pictures and videos from some of the contestants’ relationships. From clips of them playing with their kids to pictures of their spouse who passed. You can’t help but tear up. Each contestant isn’t just some guy in their twenties looking for their first love either. These are bachelors who are also gentlemen. Some of them even have been in love before and know the feeling of loss that Joan has gone through.
Episode 1 & 2 Conclusion
With the first roses going out and some men already being sent home, emotions are running high for Joan. She even had to take a minute before finalizing the very first rose ceremony of the season. Jessie, the host of the show, doesn’t disappoint with his words of comfort, but one is left guessing if there will be many more of these “emotional moments.”
In episode two, fans get to go to prom with Joan and the guys on the first group date! A local high school hosts the Golden Bachelorette and a select few of the men. Among them is Jonathan, a 61-year-old shipping consultant who is full of life and love. At the prom group date, he reveals to Joan that he didn’t go to prom because his date stood him up. This touches Joan on a very semimetal note, and she is inspired to name him “Prom King.” Also, famous singer Taylor Dane appeared at the prom to sing.
There are still many more weeks ahead of Joan’s journey to find love, but given the start of the season, you can tell the trip will be very entertaining. There is a calmness and kindness in Joan’s eyes that will make you feel connected to her journey. So, for all you hopeless romantics out there, it’s time to curl up with a hot cup of coffee or tea and start streaming now!
