Season 2 Of Loot, A Hilarious Apple TV+ Comedy Released

The Apple TV+ show Loot has started its second season. The comedy, starring Maya Rudolph, has been rated 4.3 out of 5 stars on Google. The show is about Molly Wells, who is played by Rudolph, a woman who gets divorced from a billionaire tech guy. Through her multi-billion dollar divorce settlement, she is now the third-richest woman in the world. Looking to find more purpose in her life, she starts to manage a foundation she didn’t even know she had.

A lot of the comedy in the first season comes from the fact that she has no idea how to run a foundation and is very out of touch with regular people. It is funny to see billionaires try to interact with less wealthy people.

Loot’s Other Characters

The other characters in Loot are stand-up comedians Joel Kim Booster and Ron Funches, who are especially funny in the show. The foundation’s director, Sofia, is played by Michaela Jae Rodriguez. Sofia is the uptight, workaholic, no-nonsense boss in the office who is told to relax a lot as she can’t seem to unwind and have fun with her coworkers.

Ron Funches’ character Howard is about the opposite of Sofia. He is fun-loving, laid back, and fun. Joel Kim Booster’s character, Nicholas, is Molly’s notoriously anti-work assistant. This is clearly not a job he wants to do, and he lets that be known in the show. While he loves Molly, he does not like his job at the foundation.

Love Interest

A recent storyline is that one of Molly’s coworkers, Arthur, the foundation’s accountant, has feelings for her, but things haven’t worked out between her and Molly so far. Arthur is also a nerdy but charming divorcee. For the NFL fans, he is the Kirk Cousins of this show. Luckily, this show is doing better than the Minnesota Vikings right now. Something tells me Molly and Arthur might become a couple later in the series. When will that happen? Who knows.

Summary Of Loot

The show is incredibly funny and has great music sprinkled throughout the episodes.

Loot is a high-quality show that highlights the phenomenon of billionaires and is a comedic take on foundation management. Its hilarious side plots make it a winner.

Loot could be seen as the two types of billionaires in the world. Some, like Molly Wells, donate a lot of their wealth and use their money to impact people in their community and around the world. Others keep their money to themselves and don’t donate much or any of it.

If you haven’t checked this show out and you have Apple TV+, check it out! You won’t regret it. Rotten Tomatoes gives it an 83% on their Tomatometer, while the audience has given it a 68% approval rating. It definitely is a show worth watching.
