Netflix: Top 3 Productions Leaving in November

Incoming Movie Netflix, Russo Brothers

November is right around the corner, meaning streaming platforms are getting ready to remove another list of movies from their platforms. Sadly, this happens with very little time to prepare and watch some of your favorite titles before they are gone. This month, almost 50 titles are leaving Netflix, so it is imperative to know which ones to watch before they are gone. So here is a list of the top three productions and franchises leaving Netflix in November.

Childs Play

Child’s Play originally hit theaters in 1988. The film was directed by Tom Holland with a budget of 9 million dollars. The classic ’80s slasher film grew such a massive audience that the franchise was able to create eight other sequels and spinoffs. The child’s play franchise started with the story of when “A dying serial killer transfers his consciousness into a popular kids doll using voodoo. A struggling single mother gifts her six-year-old son the much-sought-after doll for his birthday, and the doll slowly begins to show its true colors.”

Netflix will be removing seven of the eight titles within the franchise: Bride of Chucky (1998), Child’s Play 2 (1990), Child’s Play 3 (1991), Save the Last Dance (2001), Seed of Chucky (2004), Cult of Chucky (2017), and Curse of Chucky (2013). The movie titles will be removed on November 1st, 2024.

Monty Python

Monty Python has been an iconic franchise since 1969 and has continued to make audiences laugh with titles such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python’s Life of Brian, and many more productions. IMDb even gives Monty Python and the Holy Grail an 8.2 out of 10 with over 500,000 ratings. Monty Python and The Holy Grail also ranked number 155 on the top-rated movies list. The massively successful franchise has four titles that will be leaving Netflix on November 1st; they include The Meaning of Monty Python (2013), Monty Python Conquers America (2008), Monty Python Live (Mostly): One Down, Five to Go (2014), and Monty Python: Before the Flying Circus (2000).

Expendables

The Blockbuster hit The Expendables originally hit theaters on August 13th, 2010, and was directed by Sylvester Stallone before it landed on Netflix. With a budget of 80 million dollars, the original installment of the franchise was able to accrue 274 million dollars at the box office worldwide. The franchise has grown since the original premiere with two other sequels, and now a fourth is in the works. Expendables will continue production until the money runs out. The cast of The Expendables includes Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, and Terry Crews. Netflix will be removing The Expendables (2010), The Expendables 2 (2012), and The Expendables 3 (2014) on November 1, 2024.
