Lindsay Lohan, the 38-year-old beloved American actress and singer, has reportedly spent close to $300k on plastic surgeries. Her youthful new appearance has fans going crazy over how far she has come. Experts have come forward to state their professional opinions on the actress’s transformation and what kind of work she possibly had done. After she disappeared from the limelight in 2014, she resurfaced as a newer and better version of herself years later.
The Iconic Star
Lohan grew up in the eyes of the public, starring in iconic roles. From her first movie as a child actor playing twin girls in The Parent Trap to swapping bodies with her mother in Freaky Friday to becoming it girl in Mean Girls, she has made quite an impression in the Hollywood world.
The Mean Girl star was in and out of rehab throughout her early adult life, and you could see her appearance progressively change. When she returned to Hollywood to start anew, rumors circulated that she had professional work done to enhance her appearance.
Although Lohan has not admitted the rumors to be true, it is somewhat obvious that she has undergone some type of surgery. One expert in particular, Dr. Jonny Betteridge, is an aesthetics doctor who posted a video on Instagram boasting about Lindsay Lohan’s new look and how she achieved it.
He went on to list the type of surgical procedures she might have undergone, such as a facelift, upper eyelid surgery, nose job, a surgical brow lift, botox, lip lift and fillers, and veneers. His list and reasoning go on and on until he adds it all up to estimate it to cost between $200-$300k.
New Skincare Routine Means New Lohan
Lohan discussed her new skincare regime with Allure. She describes her routine as low maintenance and mainly focuses on taking proper care of her skin. She starts her days with a cold compress and Avène Redness Expert Soothing Moisturizing Concentrated Cream or Avene’s Tolérance Control Skin Recovery.
She also finds that the Peter Thomas Roth eye patches ‘rock.’ Other products she uses religiously are Aveeno face wipes and Avène face wash, especially after wearing makeup. As for her makeup products, she keeps it light by using Giorgio Armani Silk foundation or Kevyn Aucoin concealer and Westman Atelier mascara.
Lohan’s new routine seemed to form when she was pregnant with her son, Luai. She got rid of any non-essential products or any with non-pregnancy-friendly ingredients. In that same interview with Allure, she mentioned why she chooses the less makeup route and chalks it up to being a mother.
She stated, “One thing I’ve embraced more since becoming a mom is going out naturally and not feeling the need to put something on my face all the time. I think we live under pressure to look made-up, but I don’t feel that way anymore. I just want to look at myself and love myself for who I am.”
Final Thoughts
Lohan’s fans still ask the question, did she have plastic surgery? It seems like an obvious yes, but the star insists it is all due to her healthy lifestyle changes and new skincare routine. She seems to find it comical that the public believes she is aging in reverse, but can you blame us?
Photos comparing her complexion over the years seem to be drastic. However, it is possible to look like a brand-new person with a few lifestyle changes. If she stopped doing drugs, drinking alcohol, and using harmful skincare products and started eating better, exercising, and minimizing chemicals on her face and hair, then she could achieve how she looks now.
