Comcast (Xfinity) is one of the most widely known cable providers around the world. But with every company comes packages that people can choose from to best suit their financial needs.
Streaming television has become mainstream in recent years as some provider’s costs are through the roof. Services like Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Max, AppleTV, and Peacock are just a few that television viewers use daily.
This week, it has been announced that Comcast will be bringing on a packaged deal that will include Netflix, Peacock, and AppleTV+.
Though many people already stream these apps, it will now be a part of the well-known cable company that has already brought in lots of profit from customers.
Comcast Is Adding Netflix, Peacock, and AppleTv+ To Network
For many Comcast customers, Peacock was at one time free for viewers. Not long ago, the cable provider decided to start charging customers to use the service again. The premium cost to use Peacock with ads and a subscription is listed at $5.99.
Netflix’s Basic package also uses ads with their lowest subscription being $6.99 per month. Without the ad commercials, their next price up is set at $10.99. People who enjoy streaming services can choose whichever option they want.
AppleTv+ starts at $9.99 a month for the standard plan. Each streaming app provides different shows and movies that some of the other competitive companies do not release.
The new streaming bundle “StreamSaver” is said to offer a vastly reduced price compared to what each service charges separately.
Is Streaming Television Worth It?
Television is very repetitive as we all know whether it is Comcast or another provider. There are so many different avenues to use for viewers. In all honesty with the amount of funding spent on streaming these days, it is like paying a cable bill for more than a month at a time.
Every app or streaming service is different from the other. But there are too many to keep up with nowadays. The older generation goes with the cheapest rate that they can find with cable companies because of affordability.
It would be too much to try to teach someone older how to operate things that they are not used to. With technology being at the forefront of the new generation, it is deemed easy for young people. Since they deal with computers or cell phones every day.
Viewers may not choose to purchase the new Comcast bundle for those who already use the cable provider. Even if it is at a lower price than other companies that offer different packaged plans.
Other Bundles Offered
Along with the new StreamSaver bundle, Disney+, Hulu and Max are bringing about new prices as well. ESPN among other major outlets joined in. Disney and Warner Bros have come up with a plan to reduce cost deficiencies just like Comcast.
Both of these bundles will not be released until the summertime in 2024. Further details have not been disclosed as the companies are still ironing out more information to provide to customers of all streaming services.
This could be a positive thing for the viewers who do not want to watch the channels or shows that the cable providers show each day and night.
Clicking through different programs gets frustrating when the same shows reappear all of the time. Hopefully, the price decrease will be true when more details come full circle in the next couple of months.
Customers will have to wait and see what decision they want to make soon regarding cable or streaming television!
