Dearest gentle reader, this morning, we have been blessed with a glimpse into what is yet to come in the Bridgerton season 3, part 2, trailer. Part 1 of the season has had fans talking about it since it was released in May while they waited for the next trailer of Bridgerton season 3, part 2, to come out.
Viewers were left feeling as if the four episodes of season 3 were rushed and did not give our season’s couple any justice in depicting their story as well as the previous seasons have for other characters.
However, all that talk has been silenced as Bridgerton delivered what fans have been wanting: more focus on Polin (Penelope and Colin). The trailer shows lots of juicy drama that will surprise even Lady Whistledown with what’s to come in episodes 5-8 of Bridgerton season 3, part 2.
Bridgerton Season 3, Part 1, Fell Short
In part 1 of season 3, the Polin story did not have as much of an impact as the other love stories had in the previous seasons. Fans watched different plots outshine the main plot, and it didn’t sit right with Bridgerton fans. Polin’s love story felt rushed and as if it was a side plot instead of the main one fans had been waiting to see.
Viewers have watched Penelope pining for Colin since Bridgerton first premiered in 2020. When it was finally their season to shine, fans were hyped up by trailers and photos. However, it all came off as misleading when the 4 episodes did not resonate the same way as the trailers had.
Even Penelope’s love interest (Lord Debling) fell short of what fans believed would happen during the season. The trailers made it seem as if Lord Debling would have more of an impact on Penelope and would be interested in her because he wanted to be with her.
Instead of a love match, Lord Debling was searching for a practical match. However, his interest in her made Colin realize he had feelings for Penelope, pushing him into action. It would have been nice to see Colin struggle to win Penelope over and fight for her despite that.
Bridgerton Season 3, Part 2, Trailer Brings the Heat

In the last episode of season 3 part 1, we see Colin lead Penelope into his home to announce to his family he has asked Penelope to marry him. However, it ends before viewers can find out what happens. In the trailer for part 2, we get to see a snippet of their happy and excited reactions while Eloise watches, stunned from a few feet away.
“Who needs fresh air when there is fresh gossip?” Lady Danbury declares as she opens Lady Whistledown’s latest news. Viewers get a glimpse into the reactions of the Bridgerton family and the rest of the “ton” as they read the latest gossip the following morning.
But it wouldn’t be a celebration without some drama intertwined as the hunt for Lady Whistledown’s true identity is still afoot, and Eloise’s pressure weighing heavily on Penelope. The two love birds will also face problems as Colin realizes Penelope is keeping secrets.
The two can’t keep their hands off each other, making Benedict and Anthony wonder why there was a swift engagement. Those little snippets of Colin getting undressed and their kiss show that more is happening than we realize.
The Character Development Fans Have Been Waiting For
Bridgerton season 3, part 2, will focus on Penelope’s struggle with her alter ego and the independence that comes with it and becoming a wife. Colin seems to be struggling with the idea that Penelope doesn’t need him like he thought she did as she tells him, “Colin, I can take care of myself.” He responds with, “Then what good am I to you?”
Colin sees Penelope in the way she presents herself to society. She is someone to rescue him. In all of the seasons, we have watched her be a joke to the other characters and not get any attention from anyone. Only Colin when he comes to her rescue. Colin has always been there to lift her when she was down, but now she’s a lot stronger and confident in herself which throws him off.
Both characters will struggle with their internal battles and what it means to be together as they get to know each other as more than just friends.
Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2: The Truth and Eloise
Another problem that Penelope will be dealing with is the truth of her alter ego and Eloise on her back about being honest with Colin. Although Eloise had not told anyone Lady Whistledown’s identity despite the hurt it has caused her, she is now ready to reveal it if Penelope doesn’t. She is, after all, protecting her brother, who has been hurt previously with the Marina scandal. She doesn’t want him to get hurt, and as his sibling, she will stop at nothing to ensure he is safe.
But how will Penelope tell Colin? The trailer doesn’t answer that, and we will keep that secret until the rest of the season is released at the end of June. Fans will have to wait for Bridgerton season 3, part 2, to find out what will come of their engagement when a hidden secret is forced out.
The secret will be another struggle that Penelope faces. In the rest of Bridgerton season 3, part 2, she will have to decide when and if she will tell Colin or lose him because of it.
Bridgerton season 3, part 2, will be coming out in June, and fans are already waiting to see what will happen to the latest “it” couple. Lady Whistledown may like to spill the “ton’s” gossip, but she has nothing to elaborate on when it comes to her season.
