The numbers for April are in for Apple Music. We’re a little more than a week into May, and spring fever has hit! Built up in April by rain sweeping across the US, which kept people inside listening to their favorite music, streaming platforms were in full use in April. It was a combination of new artists and some old ones while people did their spring cleaning. Let’s see what people were jamming along to as they went through April 2025.
10 Best Streaming Artists on Apple Music in April
Bruno Mars
After a hiatus of eight years, Bruno Mars is back – and bolder than ever! He has collaborated with Blackpink and Lady Gaga to create more chart-topping songs. Bruno has definitely claimed his place as one of Apple’s 10 best streaming artists.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has made a much anticipated return. She collaborated with Bruno Mars on “Die With a Smile” in August 2024. It has remained at the top of the charts for over nine months. We love to see two great artists working with one another. And apparently, so do Apple streamers!
Drake
Drake is from Toronto Canada, born into a musical family. He got his start as Jimmy on Canadian television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. He eventually decided to pursue hip-hop. We’re glad he did because this Grammy winning artist has many songs to stream. Fun fact: Drake’s uncle, Larry Graham, played bass for Prince!
Bad Bunny
We cannot forget to mention Latin artist Bad Bunny. One of the first non-English singing performers to break Apple’s top 10 best streaming artists, there is nothing but sunny skies ahead for Bad Bunny. With hits, including collaborations charting the top 10, we’re excited to see what’s ahead for the Puerto Rican native.
Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar is one of the best-selling performers of the decade. Catchy lyrics and infectious grooves got this influential rapper to the top of Apple streaming artists. The Compton, California-born artist has plenty of inspiration to write his successful songs.
Billie Eilish
Billie Eilish has remained at the top of the charts for a long time. She has reigned in the streaming artists category and has been solid for the past six years. At just the tender age of 16, she was the youngest recipient ever to win a Grammy. Billie keeps making more great music!
Teddy Swims
Jaten Dimsdale, more commonly known as Teddy Swims, swam onto the scene about five years ago. As a hip-hop artist, he had some success, but found his home more in the funk, R & B, and soul category. His super soulful single ‘Lose Control’ is a testament to that. He and his significant other Raich Wright, are expecting their first child in June!
Benson Boone
Another young artist gracing our list of Apple’s 10 best streaming artists is Benson Boone. He came singing into fame as a contestant on American Idol. Benson later withdrew from the competition, as he didn’t want to be known for just the show. This talented artist is definitely taking the music world by storm!
Ariana Grande
With fame as grand as Ariana Grande’s, we expect some big things from her! Fresh off her role in Wicked, she continues to record and has several record-breaking albums under her belt. The Grammy-nominated performer duetted with Cynthia Erivo at the 2025 Met Gala.
The Weeknd
Another Canadian artist, The Weeknd, or Abel Tesfaye, has been releasing songs since 2009. His 2016 record ‘Starboy’ soared to the top spot on the US Billboard 200, making him a household name. He continues to make amazing music with his latest release, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow.’
To Sum Up
A couple of honorable mentions are Eminem and, of course, Taylor Swift. These 10 best streaming artists on Apple have all been significant in one way or another. Many of them have been successful on other fronts, adding to their popularity.
