Daily Devotional Monday Motivation with Total Apex Media | September 8, 2025

It’s Monday, and time for daily devotion. Let’s dig deep. A few days ago, a prominent international teacher and preacher of the gospel passed away. She was loved by many, including me. At one time, she was my teacher in Bible school. I’m determined that the lessons she taught and her example live on in me. She had a loving husband and two daughters who, along with their husbands, had produced her precious grandchildren.

While feeling the grief of what felt like a loss to the world, 1 Corinthians 15:19 came to mind: If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. Take a moment to meditate on this verse in today’s daily devotion.

Steadfast Hope

In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he encourages them to hold on to the gospel of their salvation. From Scripture, Paul had preached to them about Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. According to Scripture, Christ was the first to rise from the dead by His own power, making it possible for multitudes to follow.

He reminds them that after Christ’s resurrection, He was seen by over 500 men and then by James, His half-brother. After that, he appeared to the apostles and then to Paul. Therefore, many witnesses, including Paul, could verify that Christ had unquestionably risen from the dead. They saw Him with their own eyes and communicated with Him.

In today’s daily devotion, think about how Jesus left no doubt to His believers that He had risen. He provided infallible proof and steadfast hope for the future. In today’s daily devotion, thank God that Jesus always gives us hope.

Christ’s Assurance

Paul rebuffs those who’ve allowed doubt and unbelief to creep in regarding Christ’s resurrection. He says that if Christ did not rise from the dead, their faith has no rhyme or reason. The hope of Christianity rests on Christ’s resurrection. During His 3-year ministry, Jesus made some astounding statements about His death and resurrection.

Jesus stated that if they destroyed this temple (His body), He would raise it again. He said that if He were lifted up (on the cross), He would draw all men unto Him. He also told them that He would go to prepare a place for them, and He would return for them. Praise God in today’s daily devotion for the hope Jesus gives.

His Word is True

Paul argues that if  Christ’s words weren’t true, it would mean He’s still dead, and His body is still in the tomb. Then Christianity is nothing but a hoax. Paul says that their faith would be based on a lie, and so would his preaching. The Apostle Paul had traveled as a missionary, suffered persecution, and endured dangers for the sake of the gospel.

Paul asserts that his work would all be in vain if the resurrection didn’t take place. Also, believers who’d already died, believing in Christ’s resurrection, had believed in vain. However, nothing we do for Christ is ever in vain. He is our risen Savior. And because He rose, all who die in Christ will arise. Confidently trust Him in today’s daily devotion.

Beyond this Life

Paul says something weighty in 1 Corinthians 15:9. If our hope in Christ is only in this life, we are the most miserable of people. This life, in all its earthly charms, is nothing compared to the life to come. It is the life Christ died and rose to give us. He wants us to know that there is hope outside of what we see. God has joy beyond anything we’ve ever experienced.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 5:8 that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. When believers leave this world, they cross over into a new world that’s filled with beauty, joy, and God’s presence. It is called Heaven. There, Jesus said He’d prepare a place for us. Let this daily devotion be a time of praising Jesus, who does just what He says.

We Can Rejoice

When believers leave this world, there is no reason to be heartbroken. We can rejoice knowing that, as Jesus promised, they are with Him. The Scripture is true. Jesus’s words are true—and Paul taught truth.  Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life, and all who believe in Him have eternal life.

I’m happy to know my teacher is now with the Savior. In this daily devotion, let’s rejoice for those who made it and for ourselves who will someday make it, too.
