Daily Devotional Monday Motivation with Total Apex Media | September 22, 2025
It’s time for Monday’s daily devotion. It’s the first day of fall, and a new week. So, let’s get motivated today. The Apostle Paul wrote the letter to the Ephesians from prison in Rome. Six times, Paul identified himself as a prisoner of Jesus Christ. He never claimed to be a prisoner of Rome or of Caesar.
Paul knew that he was Christ’s man and was in His hands. Let’s be as bold and confident as Paul, who had unshakable faith in Christ. He knew that no matter what he faced, he had everything he needed to endure the battle. In Ephesians 6:10, Paul, from a prison cell, encourages them to be strong: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”
In today’s daily devotion, let’s see ourselves as being strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
Finally, My Brethren

Paul was nearing the end of his letter and wanted to give a last word to the Ephesian Christians. He calls them brethren because fellow believers are brethren in Christ. We are God’s children, and that unites us as brethren. Even if you’re a woman, you are a part of the body of believers. We are united as followers, believers, and brethren in Christ.
Hebrews didn’t refer to Gentiles as brethren, yet Paul called the Ephesians his brethren. As the Apostle to the Gentiles, Paul understood that God intended salvation for all men. Let’s be thankful in Monday’s daily devotion that we’re all brethren in the family of God.
Be Strong in the Lord
It was important to Paul that they “be strong.” Paul knew that onslaughts were coming against the church. Their number one enemy, Satan, would love to take them back to their former lives when they were living outside of God’s will.
Earlier in his letter, Paul admonished them to walk in unity, love, and kindness. He knew this was the only way to walk worthy of the Lord. He wanted them to be a strong church. He prayed that they would walk in the revelation of God’s word. He also prayed for them to be enlightened by spiritual understanding. Then they would be strong in the Lord and overcome the battles waged against them by the enemy.
Thank God in today’s daily devotion that you have all you need to be a powerhouse against evil forces.
Power of His Might
Paul not only charged them to be strong, but also to be strong in the power of Christ’s might. As Christians, we’re not strong in ourselves. Our strength comes from the Lord. We have His mighty power within us, so we can’t lose. Jesus defeated Satan and took back all the enemy gained from Adam’s fall. And He has given us authority to keep Satan in his place as a defeated foe.
In today’s daily devotion, revel in the fact that you don’t depend on your own strength. The Captain of your salvation has supernaturally empowered you with His might.
Whole Armor

Although their power was spiritual, Paul uses the analogy of a Roman soldier’s armor to illustrate the power available to them. Paul instructed them to put on God’s armor. They weren’t supposed to put it on partially, but wholly. They were to be fully covered with war gear to stand against Satan’s schemes. Since our enemy is not a physical being, we must battle with spiritual weaponry.
Hence, we are to put on God’s full armor of protection. Jesus already defeated Satan, but he’s still on the loose. He hasn’t reached his final destination, the lake of fire. So, as God’s occupying army, we have been authorized to keep him subjected. An occupying army guards a territory that has been won in battle. Soldiers are posted to maintain order in the new kingdom.
In today’s daily devotion, thank God for the whole armor of God that’s available to us.
Final Thoughts
As part of God’s kingdom, you are to stand in the power and authority that you have been given. You must walk in the revelation of who you are in Christ, and your spirit must be enlightened with spiritual understanding. Then, you are an unstoppable opponent to the host of darkness coming against you.
You’re God’s soldier, so put on His armor. Occupy His territory and stand against the enemy. Give God praise in today’s daily devotion for having everything you need for victory.
