Daily Devotional Wednesday Wisdom with Total Apex Media | September 17, 2025
It’s time for Wednesday’s daily devotion. Let’s dig deep. One of the most recognized psalms is Psalm 100. It’s a call to praise the Lord joyfully. Joy is a spiritual manifestation of God’s nature in us. A joyful noise should flow from believers throughout all lands. God’s people cannot be silent because we are drawn to the Rock of our salvation.
Psalm 100 is attributed to King David, who exclaims we are to serve God with gladness and to sing in His presence. If you woke up this morning feeling a little groggy or grumpy, it’s time to shake it off. This psalm summons our joyfulness in God’s presence. In today’s daily devotion, let’s focus on verse 3.
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
He is God

David instructs us to know something. We are to know with certainty that the Lord Almighty is God. We are to be familiar with Him. And we should know Him intimately and personally. Having an established relationship with God is nurtured through prayer and spending time in His Word.
Hebrews 11:6Â says, “He that cometh to God must believe that he is.” In other words, we must believe that God exists and He is who His word says He is. Praise God in today’s daily devotion that we don’t approach God with doubt and uncertainty, but with faith.
He Made Us
God is our Creator. He created man in His image and likeness. We belong to Him, for in Ezekiel 18:4, God declares that “all souls are mine.” David reminds us that we didn’t make ourselves. We’re not here by our own design; we are here because we have a Creator who breathed the breath of life into man, and he became a living soul. In today’s daily devotion, rejoice in God your Creator.
We are His
David continues by identifying us as God’s people. David spoke of His nation, Israel, which was in a covenant relationship with God. But Christ has brought us into a covenant relationship through His death and resurrection. We are the people of God. The nation of Israel was a prototype of the world. They were the seed planted whose branches spread out to cover the earth.
In Wednesday’s daily devotion, know that you belong to God. You are His child.
God’s Sheep

Throughout scripture, sheep are used to represent God’s people. Sheep, who are quite dumb, need guidance. They must be led and protected by a Shepherd committed to their care and safety. Likewise, we don’t know everything there is about navigating safely through life. We must trust the Shepherd. The Shepherd is all-knowing. We must let Him lead us into uncharted territory.
We need protection from the dangers in life. We need spiritual insight and wisdom to stay on the right path. David strayed off the path. Then he committed adultery and murder. He wandered so far from God’s word that God sent a prophet to confront David. Convicted of his sinfulness, he cried out to God in repentance. Praise God in today’s daily devotion that your Shepherd restores His sheep.
Final Thoughts
What a powerful psalm of praise offered by David to the God of Israel. He is our God, and we are His people. The Bible says in Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” So you are in a covenant relationship with God through Christ. Rejoice in today’s daily devotion that you are a part of God’s family.
He is your God, He made you, you’re His, and you’re the sheep of His pasture. Take your cue from David and rejoice in your God who has given you so much to rejoice about.
