Daily Devotional Monday Motivation with Total Apex Media | November 3, 2025

Happy Monday! It’s time for your daily devotion. We’re continuing with Apostle John’s teaching on love. The apostle of love, who experienced God’s love firsthand when Jesus was in the flesh, addresses believers with revelatory knowledge. Being profoundly impacted by Christ’s love, John emphasizes it more than the other apostles who walked with Christ. In 1 John 3:18-19, he gives the following charge:

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

In Monday’s daily devotion, declare that your love is real and not simply words uttered without action.

The saying, “talk is cheap,” is relevant to John’s message. Christians often use faith lingo in religious settings. It’s easy to use the language, but it matters what’s in your heart. Anyone can say “I love you” without sincerity. In the Living Bible translation, verse 18 plainly says to stop merely saying you love people and really love them.

As a believer, your mind, heart, and words must agree for faith to work. Psychologists call cognitive dissonance speaking words you don’t believe; the Bible calls it hypocrisy.  In your daily devotion, declare that your love is not just nice words. It’s from your heart.

Deed and Truth

Rather than lip service, your love must be in action and truth. If you’re married, you want your spouse to mean it when declaring their love for you. You even expect actions to follow it up. 19th-century faith preacher Smith Wigglesworth would run across the stage for some time shouting, “Faith is an act!” He wanted believers to understand the necessity of putting faith into action.

James 2:17 proclaims, “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” God provided the greatest example of love the world will ever know. We must love like the Father who didn’t just love us from a distance but demonstrated it through His Son. In this daily devotion, praise God that His love was poured out for us in deed and truth.

Knowing the Truth

You’ll know you’re living in truth or sincerity when love directs your actions. John says that when your love goes beyond verbal communication and demonstrates love, you’re in truth. Faith is key for believers; it’s how we receive from God. Galatians 5:6 contends that faith works by love.

Mark 11:24 says that when you pray in faith, you receive. Faith begins where the will of God is known. So to pray in faith is to pray in God’s will. However, prayers can be hindered when love is lacking. Christ is Truth, and the more His nature grows in you, the more you walk in truth. In your daily devotion, thank God that you know the Truth; therefore, you walk in love.

Assure Your Hearts

You’ll know you’re abiding in God’s love when your heart, mind, and actions are in synch. It’s not automatic; it takes work.  You must be willing to read and study the Word and practice it daily. When your desires align with God’s word, your actions assure you that you’re in His will. And you have a clear conscience before God.

In today’s daily devotion, thank God for an assured heart that’s aligned with God’s will.

Final Word

Apostle John takes love seriously. Believers must do the same. Love is more than talk; it’s active. Moving beyond words to action is assuring your heart that you’re abiding in the truth of God’s word. In your daily devotion, make love a priority by not just saying you love, but acting on it every day.
