Daily Devotional: Feel Good Friday Thoughts with Total Apex Media | October 31, 2025
It’s the last day of October, and time for your daily devotion. Apostle John keeps his focus on love. It’s a basic foundation of the word. Without this foundational truth, you can’t move to higher ground. John presents a question to believers in 1 John 3:17, proving that your love should be in action:
17Â But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
In this daily devotion, declare that you will show God’s compassion to others upon every opportunity.
This World’s Goods

Some people have been blessed with goods or wealth. Having no material needs, they have a full supply. God isn’t against you having things as long as things don’t have you. Things are tools to advance God’s kingdom, not to put confidence in. What place goods have in your life will be tested. The rich young ruler was interested in following Jesus as long as he retained his goods.
In your daily devotion, consider goods a blessing to be used for the glory of God, not to blind you to the needs of others.
Your Brother’s Needs
John says seeing someone in need, having the resources to help them, and choosing not to, fails to show God’s love. He questions whether the love of God dwells in such a person. Hebrews 13:1 says, “Let brotherly love continue.” You belong to a brotherhood of believers who care for one another and for others outside the faith.
The Body of Christ represents the hands and feet of Jesus. He didn’t walk away from needs. He met them. In today’s daily devotion, declare that you won’t disregard your brother’s needs.
Have Compassion
Psalm 145:8 declares, “The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion,” and Lamentations 3:22 says that His compassion never fails. Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the multitudes. Sons of God show compassion. Paul admonishes sons to be kind and tenderhearted, or compassionate to others. In your daily devotion, proclaim that as a child of God, you have the compassion of your Heavenly Father.
Love of God

Scripture declares, “God is love.” When you dwell in God, you dwell in His love. And your actions reflect His love. Paul prays in Ephesians 3:17 that believers be “rooted and grounded in love.” To represent God well, you must love. Often, churches have low attendance because God’s love is missing. Christianity can be criticized if love isn’t demonstrated.
Decide in today’s daily devotion that you’ll show God’s love by extending it to those who don’t know Him.
Final Word
In today’s daily devotion, John is getting to the meat of the word, which some aren’t able to bear. Love in action is sincere love. God’s love flows from Him to us; then it flows from us to others. It should be a never-ending flow. John asks a question for believers to ponder. How can God’s love dwell in you if you close your heart to the needs of others?
Seek to be a blessing to others through your church, charitable organizations, or groups. When God entrusts you with much, it’s so you can be a blessing. Moreso, you must pray for others. The greatest prayer you can pray is for salvation. Many people are in dire straits because they don’t know Christ. Demonstrate Him to others by showing love and compassion.
For Friday’s daily devotion, declare that God’s love is in you, and you’ll demonstrate it to others today and every day.
