Daily Devotion Monday Motivation with Total Apex Media | November 17, 2025
Itโs time for Monday’s daily devotion. Let’s turn our thoughts again to the Deliverer, who is God Almighty. David began Psalm 34:1-3 with praise after being delivered from a frightening situation.
4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
In your daily devotion, rejoice that when you seek God, He hears you in the midst of trouble.
I Sought the Lord
David was in flight mode, away from King Saul. With his adrenaline high from the pursuit, he ran straight into enemy territory. Israel and the Philistines had a long history of conflict. Away from home and surrounded by his enemies, David began to panic. When youโre submitted to God, even during moments of anxiety and quick decision-making, Heโs with you.
Whenever you face hardships that seem insurmountable, seek the Lord. You donโt have to wait until you get into those predicaments. You have access to God at any time. Throughout the psalms, David seeks God in times of distress, anger, sadness, triumph, and joy. Make it a daily habit to seek God, regardless of your conflicts or emotions. In this daily devotion, rejoice that the Word encourages you always to seek Godโs face.
He Heard Me
David certainly sought God in this harrowing situation. With his enemies outnumbering him, he needed a way out. When the Egyptians told the Hebrew midwives to kill the newborn babies, they instead devised a plan to keep them alive.
God has given you intellect, imagination, and a survival instinct. For both David and the midwives, God worked things out when they took steps to preserve life. As one well-known 20th-century evangelist used to declare, โFaith is an act!โ Pray, trust God, and take action. Commit to standing still and seeing Godโs deliverance in todayโs daily devotion.
He Delivered Me
When God got ready to free the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt, He sent ten plagues that discomfited Pharaoh. Although he refused to free Israel nine times, he relented on the last one. The plagues had nearly ruined the country, and all Egypt wanted was for them to be gone.
Moses couldnโt command plagues, but God sent them as warnings to Pharaoh. David couldnโt control King Achishโs decision, but God touched his heart. The midwives couldn’t control Pharaoh, but God changed the outcome. He works with us when we put our faith in Him. In todayโs daily devotion, thank God that He always makes a way.
From All My Fears
David confesses that he was fearful in Gath. The situation didnโt look like a victory. At any time, the soldiers of Achish could have slain him. Davidโs pretense worked when the king took one look at him, concluded he was mad, and dismissed him as harmless.
Sometimes fear and faith reside together, but always let faith overcome your fear. When you look to the Rock, Fortress, and Deliverer, as David calls Him in Psalm 18, your faith rises. There’s no other God besides him. Realizing that God had touched the king’s heart, he was free. David rejoices in Godโs deliverance.
You may think God isnโt involved in things you go through, but when you invite Him, He steps in. Proverbs 21 says, โThe king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord,โ which means Godโs unseen hand can turn things around. Say out loud in todayโs daily devotion that God delivers you from all your fears.
Final Word
In Monday’s daily devotion, David, a man of praise, exalts the God of Israel for delivering him from the hand of his enemies. When you seek God for deliverance, He hears you. In today’s daily devotion, know that God works with you when you, like Moses, David, and the midwives, trust Him and step out in faith.
