Daily Devotion Wednesday Wisdom with Total Apex Media | September 24, 2025
It’s Wisdom Wednesday, and time for your daily devotion. We continue our series from Ephesians 6. Here, Paul encourages believers to be strong in the Lord and in His might. To do that, we must put on the whole armor of God. Aren’t you thankful God equipped you with all you need to be spiritually strong and resilient?
Writing from a Roman prison, Paul faithfully warns them to put on their spiritual armor. As their father in the faith, he admonishes them to stand their ground against Satan’s attacks. In verse 13, he charges them to stand strong:
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Whole Armor

Paul repeats his charge from verse 11, where he tells them to “Put on the whole armor”; in verse 13, he says, “take” it. The enemy wages warfare against God’s people continually. Only those willing to stand up against the enemy with spiritual force will succeed. God’s armor is needed to combat your enemy. He’s a thief who wants to take your blessings. Will you let him?
When soldiers are sent to war, they’re equipped by their commanders with gear and ammo. They don’t whine and walk around defenseless or weak. They go in and take care of business. Be equipped and ready to take authority. In today’s daily devotion, take the whole armor of God.
Able to Withstand
“Able” means competent, equipped, and capable. What makes you capable of withstanding the enemy? Taking on the full armor equips you. You can’t withstand him with human power. But with God, you can do all things. Withstanding is not exhausting work because you rely on God’s strength and might. So, resist, stand firm, and ride out every storm.
In your daily devotion, praise God that when Satan and his army unleash their attacks, you withstand them.
The Evil Day
Don’t be afraid of the evil day. Yes, it’s a day of conflict, but no worries. You’re on the winning side. You’ve got a powerful commander who has already defeated the enemy, but you must keep him from regaining ground. The enemy knows he’s defeated. He’s counting on you not to know this. God’s allowing him to run loose, so he’s taking advantage.
But God has plans for him later. The enemy already knows his fate. He wants the same fate for those he can knock off their post. But you have the full armor. He can’t move you. Rejoice in today’s daily devotion that the enemy can’t budge you on the evil day.
 Having Done All

God is faithful. So trust Him and stand on His word. Do what the word says and follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Then you will have done all. There is nothing left to do but receive what God has promised. So rejoice. Go about your day with confidence and joy. Don’t second-guess yourself. Don’t wonder if God’s word really works. It works by faith. So stand in faith, having done all.
Confidently declare that you’ve done all by faith in today’s daily devotion.
Stand
The last command is summed up in one word: Stand. How do you stand? You stand in authority, power, and God’s might. You stand as a believer who’s been equipped and authorized by the Master. You’re battle-ready and unafraid. You know the devil is a liar who doesn’t operate in truth. You have truth on your side because Jesus is Truth. So, stand.
In today’s daily devotion, meditate on standing in the authority, power, and might given to you by your Commander-in-Chief.
Final Word
In today’s daily devotion, taking on the whole armor sets the tone for everything else. Withstanding, doing all, and standing are the last three components that secure our victory. Thank God for Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. It also applies to us. So take on the whole armor and stand by faith.
