Daily Devotion: Feel Good Friday Thoughts with Total Apex Media | December 5, 2025

Happy Friday! Itโ€™s time for your daily devotion. We live in a world full of God’s spectacular nature. There are stunning sunsets, majestic mountains, vast oceans, and so much more. But amid all the beauty of creation, storms can occur. Likewise, believers arenโ€™t exempt from trouble, as David tells us in Psalm 34:19:

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

In todayโ€™s daily devotion, notice thereโ€™s good news on the other side of your trouble.

Many Are the Afflictions

In Matthew 16:33, Jesus makes a similar statement about affliction: โ€œIn the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.โ€ Jesus actually promises that trials will come. Promises aren’t always blessings. However, trials can turn into blessings. But first we must face them. Why is that?

You have a wicked enemy. He wants to thwart Godโ€™s purpose for your life. Heโ€™s bound for eternal damnation, and he wants to take you along for the ride. Then, youโ€™re on a faith journey. When your faith is tested, it can elevate you or show youโ€™re not ready for the next level. Afflictions or trials test what we believe. When the going gets tough, will you trust God? Will you stay committed? Will you keep the faith? Isaiah 54:17 says, โ€œNo weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.โ€ In your daily devotion, ask yourself, “Why fear trials when I have a God who can deliver me from them?”

The Righteous are Steadfast

Those who are in right standing with God are the righteous. Psalm 34 is Davidโ€™s powerful testimony of Godโ€™s faithfulness. Throughout all Davidโ€™s tests and trials, God was there to pull him out. Forget finding ways to avoid trouble; stay in faith. The Old Testament saintsโ€™ lives are examples for us.

When Saul tried to kill him, David hid in caves, in the wilderness, and in other territories. Yet when it was all over, David gave Saul a proper burial. David teaches us never to give up. In today’s daily devotion, know that it may seem like the enemy is on your heels, about to ensnare you, but keep moving and trusting God.

The Lord Delivers

Another person who was on the run in Scripture is Elijah. Heโ€™d killed the prophets of Baal, and now Jezebel, the wife of King Ahab, was out to get him. She threatened that by the same time tomorrow, heโ€™d be dead. Elijah ran for his life and fell by a brook near the Jordan, where the Lord quenched his thirst and had ravens bring him food.

He didnโ€™t realize that Jezebelโ€™s threat had gone past the twenty-four-hour window. Yet he was still alive. However, bad news was on its way to her. She was thrown out of a window and eaten by dogs. When youโ€™re threatened, look to God. Heโ€™s never intimidated, fearful, or threatened. Declare in this daily devotion that God is the One who delivers you from all harm.

Out of Them All

When God brings you out, you donโ€™t have to worry about the situation again. When God delivered the Hebrews from Pharaohโ€™s army, Moses told them, in Exodus 14:13, that the Egyptians they saw that day would never be seen by them again. God puts an end to all trials, so rejoice and give Him praise in today’s daily devotion.

Final Word

In Friday’s daily devotion, don’t let trials stop you from seeing life’s beauty around you. Let it be a sign that even though trouble has knocked on your door, it doesn’t have to consume you. As a believer, you’ll have afflictions, but know that God delivers the righteous from them all.
