Daily Devotion Monday Motivation with Total Apex Media | October 27, 2025
It’s time for Monday motivation. In your daily devotion, we continue with the Apostle John, one of Jesus’s closest disciples, who had a profound revelation of God’s love. When you walk closely with someone, you’ll be influenced by their presence. It’s impossible to walk with Jesus without being impacted by His love. Think about how Christ’s love has influenced you, and share that with others.
This is what John says in 1 John 3:9-10 (NIV) about the children of God:
No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.
In today’s daily devotion, proclaim that you are born of God and no longer live in sin.
Born of God

John affirms there are some identifying marks of a believer. One is that sin isn’t your lifestyle or habitual practice. The life of God, like a seed, has been planted inside your spirit. No longer the same, you have a new nature that’s alive to the things of God. Whatever sins or ungodly lifestyles that took place before Christ are in the past. You are to forget those things.
Paul says you’re a new creature in Christ. In your daily devotion, thank God that, as a believer, you no longer desire to live an old lifestyle of sin.
Don’t Keep Sinning
You’ve been delivered from sin. Why keep doing what you’ve been delivered from? The fact that you were delivered from it means it no longer serves a purpose in your new life. Sin is contrary to spiritual growth or walking in love. Believers can fall into sin due to such things as deception, poor judgment, or a lack of faith. But they don’t remain in sin.
You should have a steady diet of the word of God and fellowship with people of faith. This helps you overcome temptation and stay on track. Thank God, in today’s daily devotion, that you’re delivered from sin.
Children of God
God desired a family, so He chose Abraham, making him the father of many nations. Natural sons were born through Abraham’s seed. Jesus is the seed of Abraham. And we are God’s spiritual sons through Christ. In 2 Corinthians 6:18, Paul quotes the Father saying, “And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters.”
Those who keep sinning are children of the devil. Praise God in today’s devotion that you are part of God’s family.
Living Right
Children of God are known by how they live. If a person professes to be a child of God, yet doesn’t live for Him, they’re insincere. Authentic, sincere faith is living for Christ. John distinguishes those who live right from those who don’t. Those who’ve chosen to live in sin aren’t children of God, whereas those who are children of God discontinue sin.
Rejoice in your daily devotion that you’re a child of God.
Not True Sons

Another mark of God’s children is their love; there should be effort and progress made in your love walk. Your old nature will try to put up a fight. However, as a believer, you must develop your spirit man to command your flesh. You do right by obeying God’s word and walking in love. Jesus says love is what distinguishes believers from non-believers.
God is love, so to be like your Heavenly Father, you must walk in love. In this daily devotion, declare that you walk in God’s love.
Final Word
In today’s daily devotion, it’s clear that living for God means your life is characterized by love, not sin. You have a new identity. John was so impacted by Christ’s love that he called himself the disciple whom Jesus loved. In today’s daily devotion, decide you’ll influence those around you with the love that has tremendously impacted you.
