Tom Holland recently revealed the title of the next installation of Spider-Man, “Brand New Day,” in a video clip shown at Cinema Con 2025 Monday evening. The movie is set to release on July 31st, 2026, and the filming is set to start this summer, director Destin Daniel Cretton announced in the timeline.

This movie will be the fourth with Tom Holland as the star, which is more than both the previous Spider-Men, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, beating Tobey Maguire’s trilogy.

Tom Holland was not at the annual convention for movie theater owners currently taking place in Las Vegas, but he did send a video to tease the upcoming movie.

“I am so sorry I can’t be with you. I am halfway around the world shooting a movie,” Holland says. He will be seen next in Christopher Nolan’s, “The Odyssey” with Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Matt Damon. “I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of ‘No Way Home,’ so ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That’s all I can say.”

Tom Holland’s restraint is impressive and unseen before, as the star is famous for letting out secrets from the tightly guarded Marvel Cinematic Universe vault. “That’s all I’ve been allowed to say,” the star continued. “And I’m well over the hump of giving away spoilers, so don’t be worried. I’m not going to do that today.”

As Holland hinted, the third installment, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” ends with Peter Parker deciding to erase his identity to save the world and the people he loves. As of now, plot details for “Brand New Day” have yet to be released.

Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, who play Peter Parker’s girlfriend and best friend, are expected to return, and Sadie Sink, who recently joined the cast, has yet to have her role in the franchise established. Some believe she might have been brought on to play Jean Grey, a mutant from “X-Men,” previously played by Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner.

Currently, a cast list has not been confirmed, and it is unclear who else will be joining Holland on the set of the new Spider-Man film. Cretton says he wishes he could tell us who is on the team and that they are all working hard on this film.

Holland’s previous installments have been extremely successful at the box office, with “Spider-Man: Homecoming” earning $880 million in 2017, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” earning $1.13 billion in 2019, and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” earning $1.9 billion globally, becoming the first post-pandemic blockbuster. Looking at the trends, it’s easy to guess that “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will continue to break Spider-Man’s previous records.
