Solo Leveling Absolutely Cleaning House at the Crunchyroll 2025 Anime Awards!

Solo Leveling

It is finally that time! 25th May 2025, and the Crunchyroll Anime Awards are in full swing! Broadcasting live from Tokyo with hostess Sally Amaki and host Jon Kabira, the awards present a slew of prestigious categories to win clout in. Solo Leveling has been nominated for quite a few of these categories, and it has been confirmed over on Solo Leveling’s X channel that the anime has already won several well-deserved awards.

It’s really not surprising. Solo Leveling has maintained its popularity since its explosive initial drop in the Winter 2024 Season releases and has gained even more traction with its incredibly high-quality second Season. The voice acting, animation, story design, pacing, and composition have all been praised separately to make this anime a giant, one that is still constantly discussed even though Season 2 finished airing in January.

What Has Solo Leveling Won?

Set in the lavish Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa, with softly lit round tables for the nominees to await the final decisions, excitement runs high as the categories roll on and the awards are given to each deserving anime or member of the team that contributed to making that anime epic. As the relevant categories and the nominees for those categories are announced, everyone from the Solo Leveling team is on the edge of their seats. Little discernible clips from each anime are played to showcase the talents being scrutinised, and then the winners themselves are announced.

The Awards

Solo Leveling has officially won awards now for:

  • Best New Series
  • Best Action
  • Best Main Character
  • Best Voice Artist Performance (English)
  • Best Ending Sequence

All of these incredible awards should make the Solo Leveling developers extremely proud of themselves, and should serve to encourage them significantly when delving into the content for Season 3. The awards for Best Action and Best Main Character, particularly, should show the Solo Leveling team at A-1 Pictures how much respect the audience and the industry have for the way they’re able to electrify their viewers and elevate their narrative into something truly memorable.

More on The Way?

As of now, the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 are still ongoing, so there could yet be more on the table for Solo Leveling. It’s an utterly insane achievement, a little along the lines of what Sung Jinwoo is able to do himself within his anime. It’s obvious that the A-1 Pictures team has put their heart and soul into this production, and to see them rewarded for it is wonderful.

The awards already won have been eclectic, across a wide variety of talents, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see more cropping up and with Solo Leveling battling alongside the likes of OG staples such as One Piece, it’s exciting to see such a new anime make such a significant impact, particularly one adapted from a manhwa and webnovel. These achievements really do highlight the heart of anime, which is a message to follow your dreams, never give up, and do your best to pull off something truly spectacular.

When Will Season 3 of Solo Leveling Be Announced?

As of yet, there has been no concrete information given about Solo Leveling Season 3, but there have been several hints that it could coincide with the 2028 Olympics. There’s no denying that it would be outrageously cool to see Sung Jinwoo heading the Olympic banners in much the same way as Dragon Ball’s anime god, Goku, but some fans are still holding out hope, despite a cryptic comment from one of the anime developers saying that they wanted to focus on other projects, that the anime will stick the established pattern and drop a new season in January 2026.

With these new, highly acclaimed awards under the anime’s belt, the focus is back on Solo Leveling once more, so an earlier release for Season 3 might not be entirely off the table. At least we can rest assured with the Crunchyroll exec comment saying: ‘fans will continue to see the story’ that Season 3 is definitely coming. We just need to be patient. More so than Sung Jinwoo in his elevated climb to the top of the hunter food chain, at any rate.
