Slayyyter has announced a new album, Wor$t Man in America, which she’s calling the “brother” record to her third studio album Wor$t Girl in America. The album arrives Dec. 4 via RECORDS/Columbia Records, according to Variety.
The announcement lands just one day after Slayyyter wrapped the U.S. leg of her “Worst Girl in the World” tour with a show in Brooklyn, Variety reported. It caps what the outlet called a breakout year for the pop singer, who still has sold-out dates ahead in Europe and the United Kingdom.
Slayyyter album arrives as ‘brother’ to her prior record
A press release for Wor$t Man in America describes it not as a brand new era but as a “counterpart to its predecessor,” built to introduce “contrasting visuals and a fresh perspective on the themes and ideas explored in the project before it,” per Variety.
The release goes further, explaining how the two albums talk to each other: “Some songs act as direct inversions, while others revisit familiar ideas from an entirely new angle, creating a parallel narrative that both mirrors and challenges the original project,” the label said, as quoted by Variety.
What it means for fans
Wor$t Girl in America, Slayyyter’s third studio album, came out March 27. Fans who have followed the “Worst Girl in the World” tour since it launched in July already know several tracks headed for the new record.
Slayyyter debuted the project’s lead single, “brand new chanel$,” on opening night in Missouri, alongside other cuts “nekromantik!,” “crank 2” and “i think he’s got a girl,” all of which are confirmed for Wor$t Man in America, according to Variety. She released “brand new chanel$” officially that same week and put the studio version of “crank 2” on streaming in September. Additional album details and the full tracklist are available on Variety’s coverage.
What’s next
Wor$t Man in America is set for release Dec. 4 through RECORDS/Columbia Records. With the U.S. tour leg finished, Slayyyter heads into her European and U.K. dates while the new album’s release date approaches, according to Variety.
