On Wednesday (July 31), the pop star announced on Instagram that his self-titled album, Shawn, would be released on October 18. The singer has announced a few tour dates, one of which is in London and will include a full performance of his upcoming album.

Shawn Mendes shared the album trailer for “Isn’t That Enough” at the same time as the announcement. This featured a 25-year-old playing guitar in the forest and singing “Isn’t That Enough” with friends around a campfire. In an Instagram post, he discussed the process of recording his fifth studio album, which he completed over two years.
He wrote, “Music really can be medicine,” in the post. “Two years ago, I thought I didn’t know who I was. A year ago, I was so terrified that I couldn’t even enter a studio. It feels like a gift to be here now, with 12 beautiful songs completed. Truly thank God for my friends and family.” “It’s so much better to have a small group of people you can rely on to get you through difficult times. I’m not sure how I’d have gotten through the last few years without you, let alone an album,” he said.
