After Diddy’s Sentencing, Aubrey O’Day Cautions Young Musicians With Stern Advice

On Friday, October 3rd, after Diddy was sentenced to 50 months in jail, former Bad Boy artist Aubrey O’Day sent a word of advice and caution to young musicians.  The former Danity Kane singer’s message is a warning about trusting your judgment and that sometimes the price of fame is not worth it. Aubrey O’Day is one of the few artists who has spoken openly about her experiences and mistreatment by Diddy.

Aubrey O’Day Delivers Explosive Industry Warning

On theShow Stoppersinger’s X account, she made it clear before issuing her warning that the post expressed her thoughts on Diddy’s trial and anyone aspiring to pursue their dreams.

The real warning is this: the moment someone in a position of power oversteps your boundaries or demands more than is legitimately required of you, walk away and do not look back.No dream, however bright, can outweigh the pain and exploitation that may follow if you remain.”

TheDamagesinger warning comes from a place of experience coming into the entertainment industry as a young adult. In 2005, O’Day was on the MTV reality show Making the Band 3. The concept of the show was about forming a girl group, and afterwards, the winning girls worked on the process of releasing their first album.

During the TV series, the girls often faced humiliating challenges and verbal disrespect from Diddy.

Protect Yourself: A Stark Warning

In the post, theEx On the Beachstar continues:

“Too often, those who misuse their power, even when exposed, face far fewer consequences than the harm inflicted upon their victims. “Protect yourself at the first sign of coercion or impropriety.” “If something feels wrong, trust that instinct and remove yourself from the situation”.

The arrest and trial of theMo Money, Mo Problemsrapper is another success for the #MeToo movement. The #MeToo movement was created to raise awareness and take action against sexual harassment in workplaces and public spaces, and encourage victims to come forward.

Other celebrities who were exposed and arrested following the #MeToo movement include R. Kelly, Bill Cosby, and Harvey Winstien.

Choosing Well-Being Over Broken Promises

A common trend in the #MeToo movement is young stars and actresses being sexually violated, mistreated, blackballed, or having their careers dangled over their heads as a consequence. Aubrey O’Day’s warning on X is a reminder that not everything that glitters is gold, and when faced with an uncomfortable situation, it’s best to walk away; in the long run, it is not worth it, even if it means losing fame.

TheBefore I Drownsinger concluded her post with a gentle message:Your well-being is worth more than any opportunity. Many people think in true O’Day fashion, she used the post to poke at Diddy one last time, but she is saying what many celebrities are afraid to say.

Hopefully, this is the end of the Diddy freak off era, and he will come home the changed man he cried he could be in court.
