Coldplay’s Chris Martin Unknowingly Catches CEO Cheating in Viral Incident
In a fan-tabulous case of being in the wrong place at the right time, or simply stupidity, a couple attending a Coldplay concert got caught on the Jumbotron. The Jumbotron, also known as the “kiss cam” occasionally features couples or sometimes super fans enjoying themselves at concerts or ball games. This couple at the Coldplay concert was no exception.A
Couple Caught at the Coldplay Concert
Lots of people go see concerts. Often, they make a great couple’s date night, especially if both people are really into the band. CEO Andy Byron and CPO Kristin Cabot decided it might be nice to attend Coldplay‘s Massachusetts date. Gillette Stadium is known to have big TV screens, and in appreciation of their audience, the crew from the Coldplay concert decided to post some random shots of fans, including a kiss cam.
Byron and Cabot were enjoying the music, with his arms wrapped around her waist. When the large TV screen captured the two, she immediately turned away, and he ducked out of sight. Oops. Chris Martin, Coldplay’s lead singer, was quick with a funny remark.
Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.
After a little digging, some news outlets had confirmed that the correct assumption was the former of the two possibilities. The CEO of AI and data company, Astronomer, Andy Byron, was on a date with HR head Kristin Cabot. The problem? Andy is married. Now it looks as though she is, too.
Who are Kristin Cabot and Andy Byron?
Cabot, according to LinkedIn, had been Chief People Officer at Astronomer since November 2024. Prior to that, she was HR head at Neo4j. Byron, who had been at Astronomer for about two years, worked previously for a company out of Mountain View, California. He held some similar CEO positions for a few companies around the Boston area prior to that.
Cabot had been divorced from her ex-husband, Kenneth Thornby, for several years. It appears she is currently married to Andrew Cabot of Privateer Rum. They had recently bought a house in New Hampshire. Unfortunately, Andy Byron is reported to be presently married to his wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron. The Byrons have two sons, and it looks as though wife, Megan, works in the education system.
What Does Coldplay’s Chris Martin Say?
After seeing the mortified couple’s reaction, which hit across the Jumbotron, Chris Martin later remarked while chuckling:
Holy sh*t! I hope we didn’t do something bad.
Certainly not bad for Coldplay, as any publicity is good publicity, but this is definitely bad for Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot. Besides the excellent memes and humorous posts on social media, this could potentially be pretty bad for the two very high, or high-ranking executives.
The Fallout from the Coldplay Cam Crisis
The fallout from the couple’s infidelity could be quite expensive. It’s noted that Byron has stepped down as the CEO of Astronomer. Pete DeJoy will be temporarily heading up the company at this time.
It’s now unclear if either of the couples may be heading for divorce. However, it’s been reported that Megan has dropped the “Byron” part of her last name on her Facebook page.
In a hilarious post, Trustfundterry, an Instagram jokester, put it: “Cost of a concert: Hotel $200, tickets $600, food/drinks $150, divorce attorney $50,000. Getting exposed by Coldplay having an affair with your co-worker: priceless.” (Remember the Mastercard commercial?) Too funny!
