Gone But Not Forgotten: Shocking Notable Celeb Deaths in July 2025

Some would consider death a part of life, but it sure feels final. 2025 seems like we’ve had a lot of celeb deaths. Although the number might be a little higher than the past years, it’s probably about the same. However, this past July we’ve sadly seen a plethora of celeb deaths, and this is likely because we’ve unfortunately lost somebody almost every day this month.

 

Celeb Deaths in July 2025

The month is nearly over and hopefully we won’t lose anybody else (fingers crossed), but often fate has other ideas. Here is a non-exhaustive list of recognizable and famous faces we’ve lost this past month.


July 1st:

Jimmy Swaggart, founder of Jimmy Swaggart ministries, passed away at age 91. He had complications from cardiac arrest he suffered the previous month.


July 2nd:

Julian McMahon, 56; the Australian actor had been in a private battle with throat cancer. It had metastasized in his lungs.


July 3rd:

Michael Madsen, prolific actor from Reservoir Dogs and Sin City, passed away from heart failure at 67.


July 4th:

Mark Snow, best known for composing music for the X-Files and Blue Bloods, passed away from blood cancer, age 78.

Young Noble (also known as Rufus Lee Cooper III), passed away at age 47. He took his own life, after batting depression.


July 7th:

Wayne Dobson, an English magician who championed for multiple sclerosis charities, succumbed to it at age 68.


July 8th:

Tim Cronin, 63, former bassist and drummer for band Monster Magnet, died from complications of ALS.


July 10th:

David Gergen, 83, political commentator, advisor, and White House Communications Director in the 70s and 80s, died battling Lewy body dementia.

Robin Kaye, American Idol music executive, along with her husband, musician Tom Deluca, were shot and killed in their suburban Los Angeles home. Both were 70.


July 11th:

David Kaff (Kaffinetti), British keyboardist and actor, appearing as Viv Savage in This is Spinal Tap, passed away at age 79.


July 14th:

Alexander Mitta, Russian film director, screenwriter, and occasional actor, died from stroke complications, aged 92.


July 16th:

Connie Francis, country and pop singer, passed away at age 87, after complications from a fall and pneumonia.


July 17th:

Bryan Braman, NFL football player for the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, and Philadelphia Eagles, died from cancer, he was 38 years old.

Robbie Pardio, 46, R&B musician and one third of R&B project City High, passed away in New Jersey from heart issues.


July 19th:

Jeff Bittiger, MLB baseball player; played with the Phillies, Twins, and White Sox, and later was a scout, died at 63 after a fight with cancer.


July 20th:

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, 54, American actor and musician, best known as Theo from The Cosby Show, died from a tragic drowning accident.

Tom Troupe, stage actor – and known for his role of the mayor in My Own Private Idaho, died at age 97.


July 21st:

Eamon Downes, British DJ, and half of British breakbeat/techno project Liquid, passed away from brain cancer at 56.


July 22nd:

George Kooymans, Dutch guitarist and vocalist, best known as guitarist for Golden Earring, passed away due to complications from ALS. He was 77.

Chuck Mangione, jazz/jazz fusion musician who had international 1978 hit “Feels So Good,” passed away at age 84.

Ozzy Osborne, legendary British metal musician, lead singer for Black Sabbath and multiple solo records, died from complications of Parkinson’s disease; 76.


July 23rd;

Tony Peers, British actor best known for Emmerdale and Coronation Street, passed away at age 78.

George “Fiji” Veikoso, Polynesian reggae musician, died at age 55 from several health issues, mostly heart related.


July 24th:

Terry Bollea, better known as television personality and wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, passed away at age 71 after suffering cardiac arrest.

Don Zimmerman, 81, American film editor, best known for Being There and Night at the Museum, died from leukemia.


July 28th:

Wallis Annenberg, age 86, passed away from lung cancer. She was best known as the founder of the philanthropic NPO-supporting Annenberg Foundation.

Olympic Gold Medalist Laura Dahlmeier was killed by a falling boulder in a rock climbing accident. She was 31. 

Alejandra Oliveras, an Argentinian boxer passed away at age 47 after a stroke she suffered two weeks prior.

Rosita Velásquez, Puerto Rican, singer and comedian, passed away at age 74 after a battle with polymyositis.


July 29th:

Alon Aboutbul, Israeli actor, best known for his roles on The Dark Knight Rises and TV series Snowfall, died at age 60.

Paul Mario Day, the original singer for British metal band Iron Maiden, passed away at age 69 from cancer.

 

A Few Words on Celeb Deaths

There is still a bit of time left in July. While we certainly hope no one else passes away, it’s likely inevitable for the short time left in this month. This list is not at all a comprehensive list of celeb deaths and those whom we’ve lost this month, but we did want to highlight people who are well-known and who have made contributions to society. May they all rest in peace.
