The new episode of Boruto Blue Vortex dropped on April 20, and so did Sarada and her powerful Mangekyo Sharingan. Following the death of Yodo at the hands of Ryu in last month’s installment, it awakened the sense of loss that was needed for Sarada to tap into her perfect form of her Sharingan. The previous episode closes with a zoomed-in shot of the Uchiha’s face, which reminded every fan of the great powers those eyes now possess.
It was a great way to end the episode, keeping people in anticipation of what will happen next. The new Boruto Blue Vortex episode did not disappoint, as it showcased what Sarada’s true abilities are, after she managed to overcome her inhibitions and finally represented her clan to the fullest.
Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan & The Ohirume Jutsu Effect
The latest chapter opens up with the Omnipotence scene, which took place three years ago. Eida, who cast the spell, erased everyone’s memory and turned Boruto the ‘heel’ straight from the hero. This small filler had the news of Naruto’s death, the Seventh Hokage, whom Sarada dearly looked up to. It was sort of a trigger point that enabled the emergence of Mangekyo Sharingan in the first place. Moreover, her deep feelings for Boruto and how he was suddenly perceived as the villain by the entire village caused her eyes to turn into the strong force of nature.
However, all of this happened three years ago, and up until now, nobody has seen Sarada using her eyes the way they were supposed to. It was Yodo who made her realize her feelings and get rid of the mental blockage that was causing the Uchiha to not fully use her abilities. But once she got over the blockage, Ryu seemed to be a no-match for Sarada. It was then, the Ohirume Jutsu, which she named, came into serious effect.
This was something new, something unexpected for the readers. Her ability to use Sharingan looked unique, and the way she manipulated the jutsu was refreshing. Sarada was able to create black hole-type objects that had a strong gravitational pull and control them at ease. Everything that Ryu threw at her, just got sucked into the black hole, which put him on the backfoot for the first time in the fight. He looked tense, nervous, and could not comprehend what was going on. Sarada, on the other hand, looked confident and determined to end the fight soon.
It was the brutal force of those gravitational pulls that simply crushed Ryu’s body as well as his hopes, and it all ended in Sarada’s favor, rather easily. However, as soon as the fight ended, she fainted as she had used a lot of her chakra. The fight also captures the trademark blood-coming-out-of-an-Uchiha eyes’ shot, which now seems like a tradition when it comes to using the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Boruto Returns As Konohamaru Struggles: Chapter Ending
After Sarada’s fight, Boruto Blue Vortex focuses on Konohamaru, who is still engaged in his fight, struggling for his life. Meanwhile, Boruto, with Kashin Koji, is watching his sensei’s situation. Desperate to help, Boruto insists on leaving and help his senior but is stopped by Koji. He warns Boruto that if he steps out, Jura will instantly locate him and seize that opportunity to kill him. Cut to, Matsuri is on the verge of killing Konohamaru when we suddenly see Boruto appearing in a flash and rips apart Matsuri like nothing.
The chapter ends with Jura, witnessing everything that has happened, and with a smile on his face, welcomes Boruto. To show himself yet again, and allowing the main villain to end our hero’s life. With this interest, the fans now wait for the next chapter, which is scheduled to release on May 20.
