The Sagittarius Horoscope Oct 16 centers on a practical shift as the Moon leaves your own sign and moves into Capricorn at 8:56 a.m. ET, landing in your second house of money, possessions and self-worth. The Moon reaches its First Quarter phase today at 32% illumination, a point in the lunar cycle that often brings decisions rather than fresh starts. With the Sun in Libra lighting your 11th house of friends and future hopes, today asks you to balance big-picture dreaming with a clear look at your finances.
Love And Relationships
Venus, retrograde in Scorpio, sits in your 12th house of rest, reflection and endings, a placement that can pull old feelings back to the surface for review rather than action. Mercury also sits in Scorpio in that same 12th house, so conversations about the past may feel more internal than spoken aloud today. Uranus, retrograde in Gemini, continues to shake up your seventh house of partnerships, a reminder that a close relationship may need room to evolve rather than a fixed outcome. If a partner surprises you with a change of plans, the sky suggests treating it as information rather than a problem to solve immediately.
Career And Money
With the Moon settling into Capricorn and your second house of money and self-worth this morning, today favors reviewing a budget, a bill or a big purchase with clear eyes. The Sun in Libra forms a sextile to Jupiter in Leo, an aspect connecting your 11th house of groups and goals to your ninth house of travel and higher learning. That combination can support a conversation with a mentor, a professional group or a friend who has knowledge you need for a bigger plan. Mars and Jupiter both sit in Leo in your ninth house, adding energy to any study, publishing or travel-related work you have on the calendar.
Health And Wellbeing
Mercury and Venus together in your 12th house point toward a day that rewards quiet over hustle. Build in time to rest, journal or simply sit with your thoughts before moving onto the next task. Neptune, retrograde in Aries, sits in your fifth house of fun and creativity, which can make it easy to lose track of time on a hobby, so set a gentle boundary if you have other obligations. This is general wellness guidance, not medical advice, and you should talk to a doctor or other health professional about any specific health concerns.
Sagittarius Tip For Friday
Use the Moon’s move into grounded Capricorn as a cue to put one financial task on paper today, even something as simple as checking an account balance. Saturn, retrograde in Aries, forms a trine to Mars in Leo, a supportive link between your fifth house of creativity and your ninth house of belief and learning. Let that steady energy back a realistic plan for a trip, a class or a project you have been dreaming about, rather than leaving it as talk.
