5 Must Watch Romantic Anime For Rom-com Lovers.

Anime, or the Japanese animation industry, has gifted the world an amazing variety of shows which also includes a bunch of romantic anime series. Japanese anime has its own beautiful aura to present any ordinary story in such a heartwarming way that people are bound to fall in love with the overall work.

When it comes to romantic anime, there is a variety of romantic stories presented with stunning cinematography and remarkable storylines which are a must watch for rom-com lovers. Romantic animes are best to start with if you are new to the anime world as well.

1. Tonikawa: Over the Moon For You

When we talk about romantic anime, the name “Tonikawa: Over the Moon For You” comes at the top of the list. It is surely many people’s first romantic anime and probably one of their favorite ones, too. The story is about the sweet blossoming love of  newlywed couple Nasa and Tsukasa Yuzaki. Tonikawa is one of the few anime which starts with a marriage, and later on, their relationship develops through time with beautiful moments.

2.Horimiya

“Horimiya” is another iconic romantic anime which is made with the classic storyline where the beautiful and smart female lead falls for the loner male lead. It received so much love mainly because of the powerful main couple Hori-san And Miyamura-Kun as they had a stunning chemistry throughout the series and their relationship kept developing even after they started dating.

“Wolf Girl and Black Prince” is an underrated romantic anime which deserves more attention. The story and character development were the best part about “Wolf Girl and Black Prince.” The story starts when the female lead, Erika, tells a lie about having a boyfriend to blend in with her new friends. Later, when they want to see her boyfriend, she just takes a picture of a handsome boy in the streets and showcases him as her boyfriend.

Little did she know that the boy was from the same grade at her school. The story starts getting interesting when they both face each other. The anime gets more and more interesting with each episode, which keeps you hooked.

4. Ao Haru Ride

“Ao Haru Ride” or “Blue Spring Ride” is a really popular romantic anime series all around the world. It was adapted from a hit manga of the same name by Io Sakisaka, and later on, a drama was released based on Ao Haru Ride. The story is about Futaba Yoshioka, a girl with a bold personality. She had a crush on a boy named Kou in middle school but he disappeared suddenly. But one day, he returns as a high school student with a different last name and look as well.

His personality has changed from warm to cold. While the story develops Futaba gets to know what happened to Kou in the last few years and starts falling for him again. The relationship build has attracted the viewers and forced them to love the series to the core.

5. Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You

“Kimi ni Todoke” is one of my personal favorite romantic anime which gives you a wholesome feeling after finishing the series. The story is about Kuronuma Sawako (Nickname Sadako), a girl who couldn’t make friends because of her appearance. Although, she is a kind person but others were scared of her because of her long black hair and creepy smile.

One day a popular but friendly boy comes into her life named Kazehaya-kun and from there her life starts changing. Everyone slowly gets to know her real side, which helps her to come out of her shell. She even makes two friends and life gets beautiful for her.
