Disney has done it again with the live remake of the classic animation ‘The Lion King.” Walt Disney Productions posted a trailer of the remake on the 29th of April. It takes the story of Simba’s father, Mufasa, and Scar and brings it to the spotlight, serving as a prequel to the Lion King we all know and love. According to Disney Studios, the live remake will be available in theaters on the 20th of December.
The voice actors, according to the trailer, include
John Kani as Rafiki, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Billy Eichner as Timon, Donald Glover as Simba. We also have new actors, which include Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Mass Mikkelsen, and Thandiwe Newton. And we will be getting HAILEY BAILEY and BEYONCÉ on the set with her daughter BLUE IVY CARTER.

Beyonce’s acting in the live-action is nothing shocking to the public, as she was one of the actors in the animation of the original The Lion King, where she played Nala. The shocking reveal to the fans was that her daughter would be joining her on set as Kiara, the daughter of King Samba and Queen Nala.
Fans are excited to see the mother-daughter dynamic between the two again after we last saw them on stage together at Beyoncé’s tour. The two seem to understand each other and work together well. Blue Ivy also seems to be following her mother’s path into the entertainment industry more and more each time we hear news of her.
Fans on Twitter are excited to see her on set, and some of them have twitted
@Legendarybhive tweeted “Beyoncé when she was negotiating her contract with Disney for her and Halle:
“Oh, and another thing, my 1st born ALSO acts and sings; contract her too!”
@omis_Byees tweeted, “I think a new soundtrack album for Disney is coming 😭 Beyoncé will give y’all another THE GIFT era; y’all better appreciate it this time”

Although fans are happy to finally hear the long-awaited story of Mufasa and Scar, some fans are not so happy, thanks to Disney Studios’ choice of animation. The animation will be live and use CGI, which some fans despise.
Following the post of the official trailer on Instagram, fans shared their thoughts in the comment section. Some of these comments include:
@joseolivasocas: “Please, Disney, stop with these remakes… what we want is new classic movies, animation or 3d, different stories, more magic, more fun, more DISNEY!”
@thejoe_ _youknow: “Does Disney not realize that people prefer the classic animation style to life-like CGI?”
@amblicky: “Even though nobody really asked for this, Yall should have made this animated at least”
@_annieduerksen: “Now, this is a prequel we needed”
@tori_kelly_xo: “Honestly, I think a Mufasa movie sounds amazing, and I hope that it shows Scar’s story as well, but I think it would’ve been 1000x better if it was animated”
@faisihi: “I’m a huge Lion King fan, and this trailer did nothing for me; it looks generic and unnecessary, the CGI effects are distracting, and by the numbers at this point, everything looks the same.”
To us, it seems like the public is just having a hard time adjusting to the new animation, as most of them grew up with the classics. Hopefully, with time, they will learn to accept the studio’s choice of animation. And no doubt, the movie will be satisfying and successful and fan’s opinions will change after watching the movie
