Resident Evil Requiem has gained traction after a successful run at Gamescom last month. Everything from the reveal of the main protagonist for this game to a preview demo shown at Gamescom, fans of the series are pumped for this new game. Since then, leaks have spawned within our purview, and things have gotten a little out of hand. The speculation and rumors that Leon will join this cast for another grueling fight in Raccoon City are causing havoc in many circles. Here are all the juicy tidbits you’ll want to know about leaks and rumors on Resident Evil Requiem.
Resident Evil Requiem – Leon Is Back… and Wearing an Eyepatch?
Since the first teaser trailer of Resident Evil Requiem dropped back in June at the Summer Games Fest, the hype for this installment has been crazy, especially since Capcom graced us with a preview of the game at Gamescom last month. Since then, fans and leakers have made a bunch of speculations on what iconic Resident Evil characters will show up in this one, and a lot of people think Leon will be the guest of honor.
Leon is one of the most iconic Resident Evil characters, from his kickass fighting style to his badass heroism. A true fan-favorite of the franchise. Leon’s been the talk of the town in terms of rumors, with fans speculating he will make his return to the franchise in this installment. Photos of an aged Leon with an eyepatch have been swirling around the internet, and players have been going nuts over it, obviously believing it was a leak from the game. Is it?
Never mind, Guys, it’s Been Debunked
I wasn’t say anything since I don’t like playing “debunk every leak” in a 20 questions way, especially when news is flowing in pretty steadily for Resident Evil Requiem already. And honestly I thought it was obvious, but yeah, that Leon eyepatch & two-headed Licker image is fake.

The answer is no. The photos, including an image of a two-headed licker, are complete fakes, according to Dusk Golem, a reputable leaker. Though the photos have been debunked as fake, it does not rule out the possibility of Leon joining Resident Evil Requiem. Fans and leakers are pretty certain we will be seeing an aged Leon, in what capacity we don’t know yet, but everyone is counting the days till release.
