Resident Evil fans are going nuts over the upcoming release of Resident Evil Requiem, and now there is news of two Resident Evil remakes scheduled to release in 2027 and 2028, respectively. Resident Evil Code Veronica and Resident Evil Zero will get their very own remakes, which are currently in development, according to prominent leaker Dusk Golem. Here’s all we know so far about these remakes and their expected release dates.
Two Resident Evil Remakes Are in Development
To preface this, these are all rumors. According to prominent leaker Dusk Golem, two Resident Evil games will have their own remakes coming out soon. Dusk Golem alleges that Code Veronica and Zero are the next two games that will be remade within the next two years, and that Capcom is already working on their development.
It isn’t a stretch to assume that Dusk Golem is right. Their leak about Leon returning to the franchise after 13 years, in the upcoming Requiem game, was proven to be true after the new trailer dropped at this year’s Game Awards. And here’s what Dusk Golem has to say about these alleged remakes coming out.
Expected Releases in 2027 and 2028 Respectively
In a new post on X, Dusk Golem claims that the Code Veronica Remake will be announced sometime next year, along with its release date, and the Zero Remake will be announced the following year. Also, according to Dusk Golem, Code Veronica will release in 2027, and Zero in 2028. Here’s the full post from X:
What I’ve heard is Resident Evil: Code Veronica Remake should be announced next year, and release in 2027, then Zero Remake releasing the following year in 2028. I’ll keep you posted if I hear differently.

Only time will tell to see how true these claims are, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Capcom has more content they are working on right now, and want to surprise fans of the franchise with more remakes, especially with how successful the RE 2 and 4 Remakes were.
