The tension between Daredevil and the resistance and Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) continues to escalate as Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) go into hiding. We see more of what’s happening behind the scenes with the AVTF and the people they arrest, and there’s a conclusion to Swordsman’s trial.

Warning: Spoilers ahead!

Episode 2: Shoot the Moon

Bullseye (Benjamin Poindexter, played by Wilson Bethel) saved Daredevil, and no one is sure why, but it doesn’t matter because Mayor Wilson Fisk wants them both dead. The good news of the episode is that Cherry (Clark Johnson) survived his heart attack and is recovering. But Fisk wants him dead, too. So Karen arranges for friends to stay at his side. It’s a good thing, too. The Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF) can’t do anything with so many people there, and they walk away. But Bullseye was watching and waiting. Not good for the AVTF.

How to Catch the Daredevil

Fisk has a brilliant idea. Matt Murdock saved his life. He can’t let out that Murdock is Daredevil for fear of giving people a reason to support him. So, instead, he puts out a call for people to help find the “missing” lawyer. Folks are more than willing to do that, since Murdock is a local hero. But that means Murdock and Page have to be that much more careful as they go out on the streets to try to find the missing first mate of the Northern Star.

White Tiger Returns?

Then there’s a throwback to the first few episodes of season one. Soledad (Ashley Marie Ortiz), the wife of Hector Ayala, also known as the White Tiger, and her niece, Angela (Camila Rodriguez), are walking at night. The night seems peaceful until they go into a small store for a snack. That’s where a confrontation involving three mischievous young men, an armed store owner, and the AVTF turns ugly. Soledad tries to help the boys, but she is arrested for her trouble. It’s a traumatic outcome for Angela, who is left behind. Angela turns to Kirsten McDuffie (Nikki M. James). And that’s where she finds the White Tiger costume and necklace. Soledad didn’t want it, says McDuffie.

The Fisks & AVTF Make Moves

At Vanessa Fisk’s (Ayelet Zurer) fancy event, she starts asking Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva) questions about how her relationship with Murdock ended. Bullseye is watching. He’s hunting her, and she’s afraid.

Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini) has a problem. Fisk is angry about the videos making fun of him, and he wants to know how the footage of Daredevil got out. Blake had it on his laptop. He confronts BB Urich (Genneya Walton) during dinner. He warns her about leaking stuff from his laptop. She tries to play on his fear to turn him, but he’s in too deep with Fisk. He wants her to stop if she’s doing it. But she isn’t stopping either. And we have confirmation that she’s the one behind the embarrassing Fisk mask.

Finally, somehow, the AVTF zeroes in on Daredevil’s hiding place. Karen escapes, Murdock suits up. Then she leads him to an unusual gift.

Episode 3: The Scales & the Sword

The captured AVTF officer is a rare find. He wants to help the resistance. His name is Saunders, and Daredevil thinks he’s telling the truth. So they let him go after he hands over his ID card.

Murdock’s former girlfriend, Glenn, is struggling with the trauma of being attacked by Muse. She and McDuffie do not see eye to eye on current events. McDuffie is still bent on defending Jacques Duquesne/Swordsman (Tony Dalton). And while she talks to Duquesne, we get to see how the AVTF treats prisoners.

The Fisks Brew Trouble

When the governor of New York (Lili Taylor) visits Fisk, she has things to say that he does not like. Only she can revoke the Freeport charter, and she’s suspicious about what Fisk is up to. It could mean trouble for him. And, at the same time, Murdock is planning to go into Red Hook and make a big noise.

And, there’s trouble brewing for BB Urich. Blake might not be able to protect her. Meanwhile, at the trial for Duquesne, McDuffie does her best to defend him, but something is wrong with the Chief Justice (Deirdre Lovejoy), the AVTF is in attendance, and everything has been set up to ensure she loses the case. She lost before the trial even began.

At a dinner given by the Fisks, the most interesting conversation may be the one between Glenn and Buck Cashman (Arty Froushan). They’ve been seated together on purpose, by Mrs. Fisk.

The Episode Finale

In the end, with information from McDuffie and an ID card from the AVTF guard who turned, Daredevil gets into Red Hook. And he does, indeed, make a noise. It’s violent, AVTF officers give their lives, and Swordsman escapes with the other prisoners (after lending his skills to the fight). Things are dicey, but Angela is there, wearing the White Tiger pendant. She and Karen make a winning combo. The prisoners, including Angela’s tia, are free. But Daredevil’s real target, the weapons, were untouched in favor of saving lives.

In the last moments of the episode, Fisk gives the command to blow up the Northern Star. Daredevil can hear the screams of the men dying. “He killed them. He killed them all,” he says.

What’s Coming in Episode Four?

Episode Four, “Gloves Off,” drops on April 7, 2026, on Disney+. So far, we know that Wilson Fisk will have a promotional fight. He’s been training, and it wasn’t easy on his trainer. And, if IMDB is to be trusted, Krysten Ritter will make an appearance as Jessica Jones! This writer is so excited for that moment.

Team Daredevil has a lot of danger ahead of them, but things aren’t exactly going smoothly for Kingpin either. I think we’ve only scratched the surface of this story, and the coming episodes will improve on the foundation they’ve already built with the first three. Just… no more skull crushing. OK? That season one moment was a little much.
