Lil Uzi Vert is one of the most popular rappers of the current generation. The 29-year-old talent first burst onto the scene with the hit song Money Longer in 2016, and reached mass appeal with one of his most popular singles, “XO Tour Llif3”, in 2017,  which was his first Top 10 hit and won the MTV Video Music Award for Song of the Summer. Since then, he has gone on to release four studio albums and multiple award nominations, including a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in 2018.

Lil Uzi Vert was reportedly at home when he fell ill on Monday. According to reports, he was taken out of his home on a stretcher and transported by ambulance to the hospital, although he was conscious at the time. Footage obtained by TMZ does not give a clear look at what was occurring because the rapper was blocked by security guards. His girlfriend, JT, traveled with him to the hospital.

Lil Uzi Vert remains in the hospital as of Tuesday, while being treated for an undisclosed illness. It is unclear what the cause of the illness was or what was going on at the time the rapper fell ill. There have been no statements released to the public at this time, although his girlfriend, JT, had posted on her Instagram story about visiting a party in The DL Rooftop Lounge. It is unclear whether they were there together.

Final Thoughts

Not much is known about Lil Uzi Vert’s condition or illness, but his being transported while conscious is a positive sign. It appears he is receiving treatment to alleviate any illness or symptoms he is struggling with at this time. As more information becomes available or any representative releases a statement regarding the hospitalization, the story will be updated.
