President Snow, the biggest evil in The Hunger Games. President Coin being the second. He’s a jerk, we can all agree with that. However, his real life actor for the Sunrise on the Reaping movie may be an even worse person. Now, you’re probably wondering, ‘who is this person? Why do they suck so much? Why would the casting directors cast him if he’s such an awful person?’ Well, those questions, and more, will be answered in this article.
Who is the Actor for President Snow?
The actor is Ralph Fiennes, a name you may be familiar with. If not, you will be. He played Voldemort in the Harry Potter franchise. So, you would assume he’s a good actor, and he is, but that doesn’t make him a good person.
He’s a Zionist, he’s a Trump supporter and, He supports J.K Rowling, a transphobic woman who has said awful things about the LGBTQ community. One of those posts being about asexuality, so, you can see she’s at the very least a bully.
It’s both insane and a little fitting that the dictator villain of The Hunger Games is also a Zionist. On one hand, he’s desecrating Donald Sutherland’s whole legacy of the character by being a bigoted jerk when Donald was a wonderful man. On the other hand, it’s just a tad bit ironic that the big bad of the story is a Zionist and a Transphobic jerk.
